I'm told #MIchigan is currently exploring the possibility of signing former #Alabama OG Chad Lindsay, who is transferring from the Tide.

Um, yes.

Stop exploring and plant the damn flag. This would be huge. Verstile depth and experience at a minimum. Quality starter in the best case. Plus the young man could get a decent graduate education.

Get that m'f'er in a winged helmet asap!
Don't see the downside in this. A 5th year senior (rather grad student), taking up an available scholarship just for the 1 year and experience in the new OC's system. All upside no downside here
they're trying to get rid of a good 12 players or so to get down to 85.
Fowler had a couple of tweets on Lindsay last week that may be of interest. One indicates that Lindsay's decision won't be a quick one.
Hearing coaches from Boise State and Miami (OH) have put out a feeler on OL Chad Lindsay, who surprisingly left the Tide this spring

Got a text from former #Alabama OL Chad Lindsay. Says he's gotten interest from schools all over country but will take time making decision

No rush for us. It's not like we are holding back that scholarship from someone else
Having any OL, let alone a C, that understands the nuances of Nuss's offense would be huge. I'm really hoping this happens.
Hopefully this will be that next Hello post we've all been waiting for.
Has anyone checked with Simone to get the definitive word on Chad Lindsay's transfer plans?
It is interesting to me that the University of Alabama football website and media guide don't list majors for their student-athletes. I wonder why they choose not to.
there are several schools that promise to "start immediately, play every snap", I have to believe if he can play in the same system he's already played in for a few years that makes the choice a lot easier. Obviously playing time at Michigan is not a gimme but I think if you can read the story of last season and extrapolate it a bit, we'd seem to be quite happy with an experienced and physically developed 5th year senior.
If it can happen it would be a nice bit of news for the Spring. If he transfers to a grad program can he get in on spring ball, or is it just strength and conditioning until fall camp?
