I saw this story about this tough old broad I've seen sometimes mentioned here, so thought I'd share this article.
Carol Frost now holds the national records shot, and discus, and javelin for 65, for 70 and 75 (age groups)
She persisted, when there was no Title IX for female athletes.

To be fair to people over 70, my mother teaches an Over 70 yoga class at a very young 77, and her only lament is that more people in that age bracket (at least in her observation) don't keep nearly as active as they could.
Jokes about Carol Frost's ill-advised letter aside (jokes made quite justly, I think), kudos to her for staying active.

I hear that. My dad will be 80 in February and he and my stepmom still go for 3-4 mile walks with the other seniors in their church almost every day and do a lot of gardening (flowers and vegetables). Keeps them occupied and active. Not a lot of time lazing about on the couch watching TV and stuff like that. Unlike me (hey-o!)

I mean, OK it's fun to poke at Frost and certainly he has been his own worst enemy at times.
