Why stop at only one section for obituaries?

I'm sure these repeat topics are also ridiculous

One for Jim and his contract

One for DCC

One for Drinking

One for Hello

One for OSU

One for MSU

One for Lions

Good thing I didn't start a R.I.P.  Leslie West guitar player from Mountain topic.

Don't clink on a topic if you don't care about it!

I don't really care one way or the other about the OT-ness of various obituary posts, but at the very least I'm thankful that the OP at least had the foresight to do some variant on "RIP Phil Niekro" that summed up the topic in a pithy way so that people who wanted to comment could do so.

The really annoying thing that to me should be a ticket to Bolivia are the posts that are simply "[Name of player]"  The headline tells you nothing. (And the content of the actual post is invariably navel-gazing nattering with zero interesting content, but you could at least signal that with a six-word headline, FFS)

May be an interesting idea. May be all the Michigan sports greats who have passed away. I wonder how many mgoblog members have passed away over the years. There's quite a few of them from 10-12 years ago who never post here any longer. I've just figured they left but then I wonder if they have left the living world for good? If I happen to kick the bucket, I told the wife to tell yall, that I will no longer be posting and that I was not upset with Michigan or the blog.

I love this site and am appreciative for the front page content (it's obviously awesome) but I don't think there is much concern about the forum. This is like internet forum circa 2002. New posts should bump threads to the top, separate it into sections, etc.

I'm not even being critical I think the forum is just a "throw away" part of the site.
