Brian, Save MGOBLOG
Dear Brian,
Honestly man I love this blog, I read it more than necessary and comment more than other people like. But anyway I love reading this stuff because it is an awesome inside on michigan sports and gives a twist for us fans that we can't get anywhere else. Also, I like reading other peoples opinions on michigan football and give their overall support for our program. Now we all understand that this is an extremely shitty period for our program but more than ever we have all of our bandwagon fans coming out in masses with the 'FIRE RICHROD!' chants. It is getting outrageous and is so completely stupid that i'm beginning to compare our fanbase with the likes the of those to the south of us.
I mean this shit is killing mgoblog. Every other post is some tool explaining how richrod is the worst coach ever and we made a huge mistake in hiring him. Was it seriously expected that we win more than 6 or 7 games this year? If you actually followed the team and looked our line-up this year with everything else going on in program you would know that a shitty record like that would actually be ideal for this year. These idiots are making this place suck. Clean it up. Can't you filter any of this shit?
Sincerely,
Turbo 'awesome nitro surge' Cool

Some of these "sky is falling; fire RR" idiots are yanking our chains.
They're MSU, OSU, PSU or whatever fans trying to undermine our determination.
At least that's what I tell myself in those long hours before dawn; when visions of Juice, D. Dixon, T. Smith, D. Stanton ... , keep me awake.

Simple solution: don't click on something that will obviously make you !Angry! Accept the fact that arguing that Kevin Newsome does not run over kittens in his spare time against idiots will never work.

I realize some of the stuff in the diaries/boards might seem shitty, but
1) a lot of the negativity is sarcastic jabs at rivals/scout overreaction sorts. at least, that's how I read it. Check your sarcasm detectors.
2) In the offseason I plan to implement some stuff that should address this. In the meantime, anything that's just spectacularly dumb should hit my inbox and I'll delete it.

One of the fabulous things about the blogosphere is that EVERYONE gets to participate This is just the opposite of the MSM (print, audio, video) where only a “select few” are allowed to participate.
The COMMENT section allows all of us to state our opinions, provide facts, and logically draw conclusions. No one can interrupt us when we are blogging (unlike the “professionals” in the MSM). No one can censor us (unlike the MSM).
So, it should come as no surprise that the COMMENT section has posts that disagree (sometimes vehemently). But, wouldn’t it be boring and useless if all the comments agreed with one another? We learn by having our posts critically evaluated and torn apart. Controversy is essential for a better understanding of any topic.
We are all anonymous so it is not like we are publicly being put down or verbally abused. This is a truly wonderful way to communicate.
Sure, some of the posts are silly, dumb, bizarre, or indiscernible. Unlike the MSM, we are not forced to listen to inane questions and even more inane responses. We just skip that posting and move along to the next.
Is it the perfect process for communication? Of course not! But as they say, “Democracy is a horrible form of government. But, Democracy is also better than anything else”.

lead to the funniest threads on this blog. Also, with one exception (E-man), the "author" of a exceptionally stupid post, after being mercifully mocked and attacked, rarely ever returned to post again. An excellent, and one of the funniest things I've read in the comments section, is Big Gay Heart's response to the post http://mgoblog.com/content/our-football-coaches-have-hot-wives
The more "spectacularly dumb" the post, the more and quicker the readership is to respond.
Much of the readership have a lot of pride in this website and they take the effort in keeping it at a high level.

Save us all from those who would use this forum to call for the censure of others' opinions and thoughts. Though I respect and admire most of what turbo cool writes on this site, in this case I must cry foul. If people want to rant and rave and make absurd comments here, I see that as a universal right (unless it is offensive or Brian doesn't like it for any reason). If you disagree with another post, just ignore it or let 'em have it, but don't insinuate that their opinions somehow have less value than your own.
