Braiden McGregor declares for NFL Draft
January 13th, 2024 at 9:15 PM ^
He said before the year he was leaving.
4th-5th round pick. Should have a solid NFL career.
January 13th, 2024 at 9:18 PM ^
He used to. He still does, but he used to too.
January 14th, 2024 at 12:06 AM ^
I think they could take sesame seeds off the market and I wouldn’t even care.
January 14th, 2024 at 3:22 AM ^
I walked by a dry cleaner at 3 am, and there was a sign: "Sorry, we're closed" You don't have to be sorry, it's 3 am, and you're a dry cleaner! It would be ridiculous for me to expect you to be open! I'm not gonna walk in at 10 am and say "I walked by here at 3 and you were closed - somebody owes me an apology!"
January 13th, 2024 at 9:15 PM ^
Good luck Braiden, thank you the Natty, 3 B1G championships and destroying 🅾️su 3 years in a row.
January 14th, 2024 at 12:38 AM ^
Why aren’t we paying these guys more to come back like OSU? Or do they wanna go pro no matter what?
January 14th, 2024 at 7:48 AM ^
The latter.
They've accomplished their goals, the OSU players have not. It's that simple.
Last year we didn't accomplish our goals...so a bunch of guys came back to do it. And they did.
The only one (in the will he go discussion) that absolutely needs to come back is Edwards.
All of these other guys did what they came back to do. Many of them have maxed out their potential as well.
Edwards, JJ, Trente Jones and Rod Moore are probably the only ones who haven't...and not surprisingly, they haven't made their decision. Trente Jones might be the exception, not sure how much better he'd be if he returned, but he'd be a full-time starter and he likely wouldn't be in the NFL.
Wilson, Barner, Henderson, Nugent, Barnhart, McGregor, Colson, Harrell...they're all pretty maxed out. Great players, but you're not going to see some Keon Sabb type of leap going into next season.
It's time.
Let's just hope JJ wants to go from late first round to Top 2 overall next year. Donovan wants to start, and go from a mid-round to a first round pick, Trent wants to be a full-time starter and Rod Moore wants to move up a round or two after having a Sainristil type of impact next year.
(not mentioned, Makari Paige, who I absolutely think needs to return. But put the NIL money on these guys who are on the fence...not the guys who are gone no matter what)

There should be an NFL draft party at Crisler with all the Wolverines that will be drafted…
January 13th, 2024 at 9:19 PM ^
Good idea 👍, Jim said he expects 20 Wolverines getting drafted.
January 13th, 2024 at 9:27 PM ^
I have it on good authority from 11 worriers that Michigan has 44 first round draft picks
January 13th, 2024 at 9:53 PM ^
I think Harbaugh likely meant 20 players from this team when it is all said and done.
We return too many players and starters to have 20 go this year.
January 13th, 2024 at 10:21 PM ^
Here are 21 possibilities for this year alone. Most are declaring. Of these, has anyone said definitively that they are coming back?

Edwards has another year? Man I hope he stays.
January 14th, 2024 at 3:26 AM ^
Wow, next season will probably be a rebuilding year with a lot of young talent. But we could still make the playoffs with JH or another good coach.
January 14th, 2024 at 10:48 AM ^
The defense will still be stacked, with the best players gaining another year of experience. If JJ were to come back, I think it's still a top 5 team.

20 guys in one draft is insane. That’s literally almost 10% of all draftees! One in ten was on the same team… out of over a hundred FBS plus all the FCS, D2 etc. Man that must have been some mind of college team. Oh wait…
January 13th, 2024 at 10:41 PM ^
We'll look back and say "how did these guys not win the national championship? Oh wait, they did!"
January 13th, 2024 at 11:53 PM ^
But…but…they only won because they were stealing signs!!!
January 14th, 2024 at 8:30 AM ^
He said 20 players from this year. He specifically mentioned breaking Georgia's record for a single draft. But yes, 20 players is a lot.

Old news. Accepted senior bowl invite 2 days ago
January 13th, 2024 at 9:36 PM ^
You can accept an invite and decide to not go pro. Accepting a Senior Bowl invite is non-binding.
January 13th, 2024 at 9:50 PM ^
Senior Bowl doesn't mean anything. You're wrong here.
January 13th, 2024 at 10:09 PM ^
Writing on the wall. He was gone as soon as he accepted.
January 13th, 2024 at 11:54 PM ^
You can also declare for the draft and then change your mind. So, same as Senior Bowl!
January 13th, 2024 at 9:19 PM ^
The only positive from this is that I don't have to keep yelling "Get em Hutch---, err Braiden" at my TV
January 13th, 2024 at 9:22 PM ^
Lol 😂 I’ve done the same thing, Hutch I mean Braiden.
January 13th, 2024 at 10:00 PM ^
I bet you think they all look alike, don’t you?
January 13th, 2024 at 9:24 PM ^
Back in 2016, I was the coach at my old HS in Warren. We went up to Port Huron to play Northern and we were 7-0 already had two 1000 yard rushers. Our QB ended up with 1600 yards all-state on the and ran a legitimate high 4.4-4.5. (He was a PWO in the 2018 class but admissions was an issue; other story).
In the first quarter we ran a QB Power unbalanced and all year we left the backside end unblocked. On this play, the backside end chased the play down and I thought “whoa that was a play!” And then I realized “that’s that freshman they have starting. Sheesh”
Turns out his name was Braiden McGregor
January 13th, 2024 at 9:24 PM ^
Good for him.
January 13th, 2024 at 10:11 PM ^
This one bothers me. Wish he was staying.
January 14th, 2024 at 7:53 AM ^
Derrick Moore will help you get over the disappointment.
January 14th, 2024 at 10:15 AM ^
Same here. Seems like he could have come back and dominated.
January 13th, 2024 at 10:26 PM ^
Good for him. Hope Etta is good and ready by fall and we can stick with the platoon strategy.
January 14th, 2024 at 7:56 AM ^
I think he is going to outgrow the position and slide down inside.
TJ Guy is the...guy, that I see stepping in behind Derrick Moore for this spot.
Josaiah Stewart and Kechaun Bennett on the other side.
Might be worth looking at the portal after the spring if Guy and Bennett aren't ready for a role in the two-deep.
January 13th, 2024 at 11:02 PM ^
Seeing how we have the smallest NIL in the B1G maybe we will just use it once every few years. I mean I'm sure JJ waited for our NIL rep to come see him little did he know it's not leap year.
January 14th, 2024 at 1:51 PM ^
Thank you for all the hard work, great moments and your critical part in this magical run and season. Congrats and Go Blue!
