I walked by a dry cleaner at 3 am, and there was a sign: "Sorry, we're closed" You don't have to be sorry, it's 3 am, and you're a dry cleaner! It would be ridiculous for me to expect you to be open! I'm not gonna walk in at 10 am and say "I walked by here at 3 and you were closed - somebody owes me an apology!"

The latter.

They've accomplished their goals, the OSU players have not. It's that simple.

Last year we didn't accomplish our goals...so a bunch of guys came back to do it. And they did.

The only one (in the will he go discussion) that absolutely needs to come back is Edwards.

All of these other guys did what they came back to do. Many of them have maxed out their potential as well.

Edwards, JJ, Trente Jones and Rod Moore are probably the only ones who haven't...and not surprisingly, they haven't made their decision. Trente Jones might be the exception, not sure how much better he'd be if he returned, but he'd be a full-time starter and he likely wouldn't be in the NFL.

Wilson, Barner, Henderson, Nugent, Barnhart, McGregor, Colson, Harrell...they're all pretty maxed out. Great players, but you're not going to see some Keon Sabb type of leap going into next season.

It's time.

Let's just hope JJ wants to go from late first round to Top 2 overall next year. Donovan wants to start, and go from a mid-round to a first round pick, Trent wants to be a full-time starter and Rod Moore wants to move up a round or two after having a Sainristil type of impact next year.

(not mentioned, Makari Paige, who I absolutely think needs to return. But put the NIL money on these guys who are on the fence...not the guys who are gone no matter what)

Back in 2016, I was the coach at my old HS in Warren. We went up to Port Huron to play Northern and we were 7-0 already had two 1000 yard rushers. Our QB ended up with 1600 yards all-state on the and ran a legitimate high 4.4-4.5. (He was a PWO in the 2018 class but admissions was an issue; other story).

In the first quarter we ran a QB Power unbalanced and all year we left the backside end unblocked. On this play, the backside end chased the play down and I thought “whoa that was a play!” And then I realized “that’s that freshman they have starting. Sheesh”

Turns out his name was Braiden McGregor

I think he is going to outgrow the position and slide down inside.

TJ Guy is the...guy, that I see stepping in behind Derrick Moore for this spot.

Josaiah Stewart and Kechaun Bennett on the other side.

Might be worth looking at the portal after the spring if Guy and Bennett aren't ready for a role in the two-deep.

Seeing how we have the smallest NIL in the B1G maybe we will just use it once every few years. I mean I'm sure JJ waited for our NIL rep to come see him little did he know it's not leap year.
