Say what you want, watch the film  from last year, Countess was our best DB, period.  People will remember a bad play or two, but play after play Countess was doing his job well, better than Lewis, although Lewis has better long term upside IMO.  It's no surprise to me he is starting on a National Title contender in the SEC this season, the guy is very talented and experienced, he would have been a huge piece of our defense, we're now going with Stribbling.

Good luck to Blake, hope we see him in the playoffs.

It's never a bad thing to have experienced DB's. He would have helped in some capacity, but we move on and the next guy has to be ready to get the job done at Michigan. That's what it is all about.

BIG10 but he's gonna win a starting job at the fast rich SEC at the same portion? Something is not right here. More to the story of him leaving I will bet.

I wish you every success. I was reading comments from one of the guys who stayed. He was speaking about the impact of four hour practices. He said some guys decided it wasn't worth it to stay and they left. I don't know if Blake fell into that group. Harbaugh demanded a level of commitment and effort to change the way the players perceived themselves and their team. After 3 or 4 years of sacrifice and a year of fan derision, it's understandable that some players would seek alternatives. Personally I wish he stayed, but for whatever reason he decided his future was better served elsewhere. So be it. When he was he he gave the program everything he had to give. A winner by any definition
