Big Ten East

Through three weeks the Big Ten East only has one loss (MSU @ Washington.) Conversely, the Big Ten West is 12-10 on the year including losses to Georgia Southern and Illinois State.

MSU is so disappointing ,  Can we transfer TUCK to the west so he can win a game or two.  He is embarrassing the East. GO TO HELL TIUCK

As mental state said if not for the 107 holds on UW which the refs missed MSU does not embarrass our conference  and wins by 150.

Three of those teams that left the Big XII - Colorado, Mizzou and Nebraska - currently suck at football and Texas A&M hasn't won anything in the SEC despite a lot of buzz.  I can only think of one team (Utah) that has really benefitted from a P5 conference switch.  Realignment has mostly benefitted incumbents that preserved traditional rivalries.

I think it’s good we’re facing a 3-0 Maryland team next week.  We’ve pretty much faced 3 high school level quarterbacks.  We need to see how our defense looks against a QB who isn’t immediately deer in the headlights.

Go Blue!  Beat Maryland!

It’s so satisfying to see MSU at the bottom of the standings. They’ll probably still be there next week after their game against Minnesota, who coincidentally look like the top contenders in the West.

The Western division champion this year could legitimately finish 8-4.

The divisions need to be done away with, or the very least, be completely recalibrated once USC/UCLA show up. It’s a complete joke that the crumb bums from the West automatically get a seat in Indy. There’s a reason they haven’t won once since the divisions were redone.

The West has always been mediocre and it's unlikely to change this year - Purdue may well be the best team in that division and they're 1-2.  I don't buy Wisconsin or Minnesota as being more than okay.

Yes we know big Ten west bad, big ten east good.  I don’t like state but that is not an easy game and Washington looked good. Until we actually play them and win I will keep my mouth shut.

I went to Michigan B-school and met a couple of undergrads from Northwestern and know some here out here in the bay area as well, along with Purdue and Wisconsin.  And they know the big 10 west is pretty bad this year, but at the risk of generalizing, fans at most of the big-10 west colleges don't really follow the sports teams unless they're winning.  It's not like these colleges don't have school spirit though, they definitely do.  But in football anyway I think the big-10 thought Nebraska and Wisconsin would provide some of the balance.
