Big Ten Championship Game Ticket Information

Does anyone know anything?  I’ve read that they sell some tickets early and each team has an allotment of about 15K each(similar to bowl games). The website refers you to the secondary site which has very few available tickets at a hyper-inflated price. It seems like tickets shouldn’t be terribly difficult to find in a stadium that fits 70K. With this excitement, the boys deserve the stadium at least 80% blue.

As a season ticket holder, I'm waiting on the Michigan Ticket office to inform me if I've actually secured tickets through their priority program. It shouldn't be that hard - they have all of the ticket requests as of yesterday, and they know the number of tickets they've been allocated.  Hoping to find out soon.

Once that allotment goes to the donors and season ticketholders, they'll then expand to the public if there are more tickets available.  But my guess is it won't come to that? You have to think after the long drought tickets from here on out will be in high demand.

70k tickets is tiny, relatively speaking.  There's probably around 25-30k available once you take out the team allotments plus corporate sponsor tickets.  People have been waiting to attend this game since it became a thing.  I would not expect the price to drop until maybe morning of the game.

I did the same thing.  Quickly bought tix off stub hub before the season ticket holders (like me) who are rejected will be buying off the secondary market.

What are the plans in Indy? Is there a alumni tailgate? Other events on game day?

We are bringing 6 Canadian diehard Michigan season ticket holders who had t I give up the tickets this year… but as of Nov 30 we don’t need a PCR test to come back to Canada.   So Indy here we come!

A large number of tickets are sold in advance to the general public, Aug 14, 2021 this year. $50-$95.

Thousands of Buckeyes buy them up every year, assuming they will be in. They will be selling them off.

Since the team allotment is quite low expect to pay $300, lots of tickets will hit the secondary market next 24 hours.

Hotel accommodations will be almost impossible in Indianapolis.

Make any dinner reservations now, as 2-4   hour waits will be the norm.

Unless you are a higher level donor, don't expect to get tickets just as an average season ticket holder.

Have you tried searching for a 2 night stay?

Edit: I ran a few searches and if you select more than 2 nights there are rooms. Have to pay for more than you need but better than not having a reservation. Also, there were a lot of hotels that had a zero cancellation policy that expired before we kicked off yesterday. So I’m guessing there are going to be hotel rooms on the open market.

I made sure to get my tickets before the outcome of the Wisconsin / Minny game was known.  50 yard-line, upper deck $450 with fees included.  Pricey, but had to do it.

Tickets on secondary market sites will not drop much at all.

History on this as I've been to 5 BIG Champ. games at $95.00 ( years when my OSU lawyer sells me his at cost) , prices will jump up to 350 +, as sellers wait it out.

Scalpers know what StubHub is at and will charge accordingly.

Prices drop only after 1st quarter. This is not a normal event and hotels, restaurants, bars can not handle the load.

I've made hotel reservations in Fort Wayne every time after learning how jam packed Indy gets, with both fan bases scrambling at the last minute.

It's still worth the experience, so if you don't mind the $, buy now.
