The Big 10 Show (via SEC Shorts)

I chuckled at the midwest cliches.  More so at the fans of other B1G teams hatin' on Michigan.  Hat tip.

Genuinely disappointed.  I was so hoping to see UGA and Bama checking in to pick up their L's (too soon to have Bama's L handed over low and bobbled?).  If you want to laugh at midwestern stereotypes, just watch the Red Green Show.  I did chuckle at the OSU/Iowa call-ins, but there was a missed opportunity to make a joke about midwestern passive aggressive back-handed compliments.  Iowa could have complimented us on our fine punting performance, for example.

A salty show for sure but spot on regarding our conferences refusal to support each other when playing for a national title.

Frankly it is odd and stupid that LSU would be happy for Alabama winning the CFP or Kentucky fans supporting Georgia. Ohio State fans will not be rooting for us on Monday. Have some pride in your school!

The SEC has won 14 out of the last 20 national titles - being able to say "we play in the best conference so we're a better 9-3 team than you as a 9-3 team" is something Kentucky, or Mizzou, or Tennessee has been able to say for a long time. Perception matters and because Bama and Georgia win titles, Bama gets into the playoff over an undefeated Florida St. LSU gets to be the highest rated 3 loss team. And the losses look better to LSU when they are ranked 13th instead of 18th. Recruits want to play against the best in the SEC, so the best recruits go to the SEC. It's been a system that keeps the SEC at the top for so long.

It'll be good for the B1G when the B1G brings home the Heisman because USC's 5 star QB puts on a show. Or Oregon and Washington beat up teams in bowl games. High tide lifts all ships. We can still root against OSU and root on the B1G when our conference as more than 2 good teams in it.

This one missed the mark with me. I've enjoyed the vids that have been posted here this season but this one was bad. Hopefully next week's edition about a Michigan natty will be better.

FunnyMaine and SEC Shorts both put out videos that just weren't funny. Neither has really been that good all season. Hopefully Matt Mitchell comes with something at least mildly entertaining.

I thought the concept was great in the first :30, but then the jokes just fell flat after that. They had a great chance to do something funny there but seemed to just land on being bitter SEC fanboys

I thought it was good.

For those who are thinking "they're just bitter SEC fans, won't acknowledge their conference's loss!!!", remember that in the previous version of SEC Shorts, they basically said that FSU deserved to be in the playoff ahead of both Alabama and Georgia.

Yeah I think generally they're more interested in being funny/entertaining than being homers. They don't seem to have any sacred cows -- they'll make fun of anybody and everybody, even if they don't land the plane all the time. What I always appreciate about these guys (and others like them), is they're generally putting out stuff pretty quickly after CFB Saturdays. They go from idea and concepting to scripting/storyboarding, to costuming/props (although many times these are basic), to filming, to editing, to market in all in day or two.

The rest of the country has seen Fargo way too much. As a native Michigander, who now lives in Wisconsin, I have never heard anyone talk like that. Except, maybe, for a few YouBetchas here and there.
