Bielema "furious" at officials for pick play
On the replay it looks to me like the Illinois defender clearly initiates the contact on Loveland and Loveland just keeps running forward. Certainly isn't a pick. Poor Bert.

What's crazy is Michigan has gotten lost on that same play twice this year...then stole it for themselves lol

It looked like a pretty clear illegal pick but also that just doesn’t get called consistently which is why offenses run that play all the time

The cb clearly engages Loveland, he has a right to continue running his route. Not his fault the cb fails to disengage.

I'm not gonna take shots at Bielema with his mom passing recently, BUT he's gonna be complaining about stuff because THEY LOST. On the other hand, he would've been smug AF about their toughness, their gameplan, work in the trenches, how they overcame adversity yada yada yada had they got the win. So, consider the source.

I had no issues with the officiating. The bad calls went both ways about evenly. I think Illinois benefited from a few more than we did. But we won and played poorly on offense in the process, so I am not bent out of shape about it.

Bert, while I'm sorry for the loss of his mother, is a classless bitch. He was causing drama in the tunnel, which he seemed to want to make an issue even when it wasn't (and ESPN/ABC via Sean McDonough was happy to perpetuate), then is complaining throughout the game, and then doesn't even shake hands afterwards. Thank God the team pulled this one out.

I can't believe HE is actually complaining about the refs. At the game it seemed quite incredible how many calls were called (or not called) in their favor that were huge momentum changers.

Zingerman's wasn't open? Bert's true enemy...hunger. Next year he will only travel via a cart.

Maybe a 700 lb guy isn't the one to ask about pass coverage nuances, but the DB "caught" the receiver. Problem for him is, the receiver wanted contact. Its called putting a player in conflict; either catch him and risk being taken out of the play if someone else is the intended target, or give him a free release and risk the guy you caught breaking wide open. Decisions Decisions.
