Has to be said, OSU is killing it. That recognition is NOT a criticism of Jimmy.
College football is better when Michigan and OSU are great*.
*As long as Michigan Beats OSU more often than not.
Everyone here is aware of it and don't care any more about it - other than you I guess.
I don't think it's a huge deal. If they're in the top 10 and we are in the top 10, I think it's a wash. In the end, when all the players pan out, I don't think there is much seperation between the #1 class and say the #8 class. As long as we continue to recruit at a high level and not end up with classes in the 20's or 30's then I think it's alright.
I don't understand 247's ranking of Kai-Leon Herbert and how it's so out of whack with the Composite...KLH went to the Opening and decided between us and Florida but is ranked the 72nd tackle and 684th player in the country.
My guess is they'll bump him up to the low 4 star range outside the top 247 very soon. I think this update is only the top 247 for now.

It's cool that 247 is willing to move guys around so much in their rankings. I find it annoying when a recruiting service ranks guys after their sophomore seasons and then hardly touches the rankings even when they get a bunch of newer, better information.
Martell dropped 46 spots to #103. McCaffrey dropped, too, from #30 to #54, but that's still a pretty lofty ranking. I can't imagine they're too down on him.
Ambry tore shit up at the Opening, and depending on his season, might be a five star athlete. Would've loved Donnie Corley last year but I definitely want Ambry in AA.

I am pretty sure that the OP is reading the 24/7 chart wrong. As I read it, McCaffery is No. 39 in the composite (which is a fall of 3 slots) and no. 54 in 24/7's ratings (which is a fall of 24 slots).
If you are looking at the 24/7 composite (you can look at either the composite of the 24/7 ratings by clicking at the top), then the first number is the composite number, the next is the 24/7 number and the third is the change in the composite ranking.
Encouraging boosts for many targets. I just want DPJ, Ambry Thomas, and JKP in the fold to build that fence around the state, particularly SE Michigan.

....the number of top 100 targets for us still on the board is unreal. Should be an awesome 7 months as we get to the finish line. How many of these guys do we think committ prior to the end of the year?
