B1G or Bust

Coach B is awesome.

I expect that he will have his team prepared for the multiple looks Roy Williams will give the Wolverines both on offense and defense.

Go get that 2nd signature November win, Blue!

I hope the Crisler Center is rocking with support for this team on Wednesday.

The basketball team has constantly pulled our asses out of the fire dating back to Novaks anuerysm of leadership.

Sparty was dominating us in football. Zack a 6'4 3 star forced to play power forward willing his team to beat our biggest rival when we needed it most.

Whenever we are at our lowest, the basketball team is there to carry.

Go Blue! Beat UNC!

Got a big one coming up on Wednesday. Beilein is going to have this team ready, and I hope Crisler is rocking that night.

Seems like over the last few years, the basketball team has almost always been around to pick this fanbase up off the mat after a letdown on the football field.

I don't know if I'd say that. Beilein sticks to his system, but he also knows how to work with the talent he has. Our 3 ball has been rather inconsistent thus far, but we've got some guys who can tear it up inside.

Take the Villanova game for example. We shot rather poorly from three, but were unstoppable in the paint. If something's working, he sticks with it.

the one sport in which we truly excel

We excel in a lot of sports actually.  We also were in the final four in hockey last year, for instance.

MSU would be more an example of a school that's basically only good at basketball now.

Why does it feel that we'll rise to #4 after we beat NC and then our first two B1G games, stay around #4 all year and then get destroyed in the round of 8 in the tourney?

Because you're projecting football vibes onto basketball?

Beilein's teams almost never choke in the tournament. They always either play to their seeding or exceed expectations. The only time we were upset in the tournament was the year we lost to Ohio in the first round (2012, I think). And even that year, we overachieved in the regular season and might have been seeded too high in the tournament.

We're a basketball school and have been for a few years now. And that's as much a credit to Beilein as it is an indictment of Harbaugh/Hoke. Embrace it.

I have a feeling Beilein's defensive juggernaut will be up to the task, or, if not, will give a better account of itself then what we saw on Saturday from the nation's top defense. In any case, I am all in with this team. We beat the Tarheels, the sky's the limit this season.
