Barwis Time

Submitted by Ziff72 on
All right let's leave the crap behind. Time for positive news. New Semester. We have Barwis beach and early enrollees and new recruits to look forward to. My question is what is our 1st nugget of hype we're fed that proves to be completely worthless, but feeds are need for hope?? The leaders in the clubhouse are... 1. Tate's multitude of injuries are fully revealed, he feels great and has put on 10lbs of muscle with a ridiculous improvement in his bench press from last year. 2. Big Will is a certified monster that is slimmer and stronger than ever. The plans for a Mike Martin/Big Will t-shirt contest are hatched. Bad Boys!!! 3. You need a Freshmen story, my money is on Marvin Robinson being physically ready to go and how he is a natural and looks to be the Starter/All American at whatever position they fit him in from day 1(per GBMW). Some Other Contenders Update on Vlad's(finally) 100% knee that held him back last year. D. Robinson has gotten faster. Give me your best guess.

I heard that Will Campbell, after only a year of Barwis-izing, now has a complete set of six pack abs. Rumor has it that after the season he briefly considered giving up football to pursue a career as an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog model. When he found out that they only hire white people for this job, he rededicated himself to the game and is now ready to crush some offensive linemen in spring ball.

I'll go with something re: Craig Roh. He's been working with both Barwis and The Situation and is now ripped up like Rambo. Unfortunately the crabs he caught from Snickers don't improve his CRAB PEOPLE stance. Seriously though, this is a guy who should have redshirted last year based on his size but his talent won out. Once he starts to "fill out" in the size department - watch out.

All of our DB's will be thrown into Barwis' wolf pen in a trial by fire. Those who become Alphas will start. The others go the way of Cissoko... Also, Will Hagerup changes his name to Zoltan. Thus starting the tradition of the Wolverine punter being called the Zoltan.

Are these fire wolves? Are the wolves on fire? Are the wolves running through burning coals? Is this a reenactment of the story of Samson where he ties wolves (ok, foxes, not quite the same thing) together by their tails and sets the tails on fire? I NEED ANSWERS.

My hopeful nugget - Instead of hoping for Johnathan Hankins to bring his questionable work ethic to Ann Arbor, we find out that Anthony LaLota has put on 20 pounds of muscle, has learned the DE position and has improved enough to be a 5-8 play per game contributor this year.

I wouldn't past judgement on the kid so fast. His freshman year at Michigan was like his 4th year of playing organised football. He has all of the tools to become a force in the future. I think that he will surprise a lot of people this coming season and even more so in the years thereafter!

My money is on Ray "Rocky Balboa" Vinopal making the opening day roster as a Special Teams menace and slowly working himself into regular playing time on D. That little dude already hits "heavy", just imagine how he'll tear around out there after Mike "The Mick" Barwis has him chasing chickens around the Diag...

This may be the greatest thread in the whole history of threads. Plus one to all of you. Oh yeah Denard Robinson is going to run a 2.24 40 next year.

OK guys, you already gave me feedback on this kid right here. Mixed reviews. Obviously he is not much of a dual threat QB, but does possess great potential and talent. He probably wouldn't fit in at Michigan but I think somewhere else for sure. He has a pretty nice list goin on rivals.com and I know that Notre Dame is in the mix too. I've seen nearly every HS game he's played. I'm gonna ask you guys to please give me a brief evaluation on what you think of him....if you want, you can rate skills 1 to 10 or whatever on footwork, arm strength, accuracy, etc. Also please give a list of 5 schools that you honestly think he can play at. Thanks in advance! I honestly do appreciate your guys' opinion on this! Thank you for your time and efforts! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vCRLa3UcbQ AND TO CLEAR THINGS UP, I AM NOT HIS DAD, I AM JUST A LONGTIME FAN AND SUPPORTER OF LAKER FOOTBALL! THANKS GUYS -John T

I'll give you my opinion: 1.) This kid is the best QB I've ever seen play for WOLL... 2.) ...which means nothing since WOLL has never really had much talent at QB... 3.) ...because it's a Division 7 school in the MHSAA...with an enrollment of around 300... 4.) ...which means any talented QB who wants to play at a private school goes to OLSM, or DCD, or Brother Rice, or Catholic Central...on a scholarship... 5.) ...and while his YouTube video appears impressive, he's still just throwing on HS kids playing in Division 7... 6.) ...so I'd suggest sending his video to blogs concerning football programs at Albion, or Alma, or GVSU... 7.) ...because this blog is about University of Michigan sports... 8.) ...and this kid could only hope, hope, to walk-on there...and never play... 9.) ...ever... 10.) ...so from one WOLL alumnus/fan to another...Go Blue...Go White...and stop it.

... there are a lot of question marks on him (namely, if he was so good why in god's name did we redshirt him) so I think anytime someone posts something about his winter/spring performance it's going to cause a major stir, especially with our need at the CB position.

there's guaranteed to be rave reviews about some player(s) in spring/early fall ball but come saturday's in the fall we'll all be scratches our heads wondering what those reviews were about. My guess: Denard Robinson is really getting the hang of the passing game and looking comfortable in the pocket.

Our starting defensive backfield is going to be Mrob and "The Sparker" at the two safety spots. Turner and CC at the corner spots. After every pass break up they are going to do that dance the guys were doing at the UA All American Bowl ---- No Fly Zone!!!

Taylor Lewan discovers Jake long's old bench in a hidden closest in the the michigan locker room, after barwis makes him complete the hardest workout of his life a piece of hair left on Jake's equipment becomes ingrained into Lewan's DNA, this causes a violent chemical reaction creating the greatest offensive lineman of all time. Lewan abilities are so powerful that he must use his talents outside the relm of football. He moonlights in the offseason as gilbert arenas's bodyguard because as you might assume not even bullets can penetrate this pocket protector.

What I would like to see? O line gets beefier and stronger, so that we can move the LOS next year. They need to run enough to stay in shape but not loose too much weight. There is something to be said for pushing back the guy across from you.
