These players and coaches just went through a crazy long season sacrificing holidays and time with family since august...its not that crazy that a lot of them would say thanks but no thanks my family needs me before I start it all over again.

Rolling my eyes at these "well actually" stats and Brian's pessimism about Dug McDaniel. Dude has been playing out of his mind and greatly improved since the beginning of the year... He's also a true freshman and was forced to run the offense early on this season. If Michigan makes the tournament he will be a huge credit to him.
I think Harbaugh should go the other way on this and issue a very public and profound apology while over-sharing the exact details of the violations. "In December 2020 I ordered 2 combo burger meals, one medium rare, one medium...etc, I now know the hurt and ramifications this has caused my team, coaches and family...etc. An equal playing field is critical to the integrity of the game and this clearly crossed a line with our competition. " if he can feign the sincerity and end with some like, "I thank the ncaa for holding me accountable and look forward to the enforcement of these violations across all of college football" it would be hilarious and highlight the absurdity.
Great write up Seth! I would just add that James Hudson had a very good season on a Cincinnati o-line that was close to winning the Joe Moore award. He was drafted in the 4th round, not too shabby.
Also,the Northern Virginia talent pool is really good too. Penn State has been regularly getting great recruits from this area. Don't understand this comment.
Why is it that the people least affected by racial issues always want to "not make it about race?" Is it because they would have to actually recognize the uncomfortable fact that there are major racial problems woven into our social fabric?
Gosh its so hard being undefeated with a solid starting qb that doesn't turn the ball over and converts 3rd downs regularly and also having a raw and talented freshman backup.
Notre dame barely beat 2 teams much worse than Rutgers and they are a top 10 team that smashed Wisconsin.The sky isn't falling everyone, let's enjoy the season.
You treat refs like athletes and coaches. Put them on incentive based performance contracts as a full time position. If they aren't up to snuff they are cut and a better ref that works harder takes their place. Refs will then work harder in the offseason to learn the new rules and refine their craft. More people will want to become refs and will train and compete to do so. This is a billion dollar industry, there's no reason to have part time weekend warrior refs that have little accountability.
The people evaluating their performance cannot be former good ol boy refs that will defend a ref over anything like how the Big Ten has their football refs evaluated.

Edge of Tomorrow and Oblivion with Tom Cruise are also hugely underrated. I watched both with low expectations and hoping to be unimpressed and was blown away.

For example: What if Ronnie Bell caught that TD and Michigan completed the comeback against PSU. How different would we look at Shea Patterson based on that 1 drop. (not a diss to ronnie he is one of my favorite players and an awesome receiver). What if Gardner had great coach and a great offensive line but had to play a #4 Strength of Schedule and the toughest BIG East we have ever seen like Shea did. What if the entire receiving corps didn't drop ball after ball against OSU in the 2nd half. Shea might have had over 500 yards passing...I think you could easily make the case for Shea being the #2 behind Denard if you stop following the same narratives.

You treat refs like athletes and coaches. Put them on incentive based performance contracts as a full time position.
