Changes: The biggest difference for the Big Ten in the new cycle is adding Las Vegas/Belk in place of the Holiday Bowl. Also, the Big Ten replaces the Pac-12 in the Cheez-It Bowl. The Big Ten will have the highest percentage of bowl games against other Power 5 opponents – eight of nine – including three bowls each vs. the SEC and Pac-12. One change among the Big Ten bowl opponents is the Quick Lane Bowl, where the Big Ten is expected to play a team from the (Mid)-American (sic) instead of the ACC.

And everyone wondered, why, for fuck's sake, he didn't run that play against OSU when we went for the win with Devin Gardner, broken foot and all, carried us to within a single point of defeating a vastly superior OSU team.

Clearly, it was better to save it for garbage time against friggin K State.

I would just as soon forget all the BS bowls and think only about the 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 playoff bowls,OR the Rose Bowl.  Was anyone else alive when M couldn't get into a bowl with a great record in the 70s?  Can you imagine Bo taking his team to the Cheez-It Bowl?  This is lunacy.  This is college football in the new millennium.

Hey, guys.  That '84 game was actually a terrific game and not a Cheez-It Bowl.  Naturally, they were unranked underdogs to the #1 ranked BYU team and battled them to the end.  The game set the stage for the next year's team to finish #2 in the polls after beating Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl.

Of course, the '84 game was set up by two key events:  1.  M was the first B1G team to venture to a non-Rose Bowl bowl game, the Orange Bowl, which was also a great game.  2.  Harbaugh broke his arm in '84 so M went with his backup, Chris Zurbrugg.  Whom do you remember better?  Can you believe M lost by just a touchdown?

Of course every fucking game other than maybe the Quick Lane and Pinstripe are clearly a home game for the opponent. Such bullshit. We should be playing the SEC in California and the the Pac-12 in Florida. Make everyone travel!

I still want the Big Ten to be in a One Hour Martinizing Bowl one day. Sure, the team that would get in probably sucked ass, but the uniforms....well, you certainly wouldn't be able to argue with quality dry cleaning.

If we ever "qualify" for the Cheez-It Bowl, the team should vote to stay home and organize their sock drawers.

BELK BOWL!!!  Woo Hoo!! That's about 40 minutes from my house and I take my kids every year!  Be good to see some familiar teams although I hope Michigan never drops down to be one...
