Awesome day
I live in Tennessee but I am originally from Michigan. I was in Michigan last week visiting relatives and had an awesome day last Wednesday. We started out by going to Ann Arbor and getting to go into Schembechler Hall. I could have spent an entire day in there, that place is awesome. My son and i were in awe at all of the memorabilia. When we left Bryan Mone was outside and signed an autograph for us and talked to us for a few minutes. As somebody who is a huge fan but lives a long way away, it was an outstanding day. We also went to see the Tigers beat the Marlins that day. I am more than excited for what this season can be. GO BLUE!
Cool story bro?
I think it is.
I wish I could have gone.
Because the name of the game is pitching. The Indians have it; the Tigers don't. That, and baseball is a funny game, and some years things just break your way, or break against you.
RIght,
OP is kinda of big meanie head for not inviting us. We want to have fun too

They have really done a nice job with the Schembechler Hall memorabilia and display. The wall of footballs for each victory is staggering.
Sounds like a great experience.
I moved to the DC area and had not been to Ann Arbor for a decade. Then in the summer of 2008, I was sent on a business trip to . . . Ann Arbor! It was like finding money.
I cut out of the meetings early and sepnt the next seven hours walking around every inch of campus, visiting all my old haunts, visiting the stadium which was under construction at the time.
I was in heaven. I must have walked 10 miles that day.
It was the dead of summer so everything was very casual. The doors of Schembechler Hall were open so I snuck inside and toured the Michigan Football museum. I was the only person in it, because it wasn't actually open.
The coaches offices were there at the time and I was not supposed to be in there. Somebody saw me and came out screaming. I quickly darted out of there and ran away like a 12 year old stealing candy.
It felt like a Homecoming to me, similar to the OP.
...and if they sic a player or two on you YOU WILL BE CAUGHT.
I was guilty. I think I ran a 4.40 forty getting the hell out of there.
There may or may not have been a sign that said "No Trespassing" in big red letters by the open door to Schembechler Hall. Can't be sure.
Sir you are close. Some of us live thousands of miles away. Good story!

FWIW, while Webb took pains to say it was not his "gut feeling," he also said he would be "shocked" if Herbert didn't declare for U-M.
12 noon per Sam
Those of us who live minutes away sometimes forget what a real treat it can be to visit a city like Ann Arbor and a campus like the University Of Michigan, especially for those among us like me who both grew up nearby and went to school there. I admit that the things that I get to see every week and did even before I was a student can really light up eyes and fill people with wonder even if they are sometimes old hat to you some levels.
This is a cool story indeed, and I also probably could spend an entire day inside Schembechler Hall - even if you're local like me, Michigan's history never, ever will get old to you even if the scenery on the block might sometimes.
The best part? Momma cooked a breakfast with no hog.
Hey, steak and eggs, or pancakes and fried chicken. Both are awesome but hog-free. That being said, I love the pig--it is one tasty animal. I was just quoting Ice Cube's "It Was a Good Day" in honor of the o.p.
Not to hijack this thread, but the title got me feeling optimistic about today's events so far...
Plus...maybe, just maybe, the Tigers can exorcise their demons as well? So far, so good.
In any event, here's to Wednesday!
