Sam also said on WTKA earlier this week that his gut is still on JKP committing to Michigan and that we are in good position with Ambry Thomas. I did not read that article, but I have received no worry signs on Ambry as of yet. Michigan St. is looking like much less of a concern with them being terrible at the football.

This kid is a monster. Beside being the #1 Dl target on UM's board, he is also supposedly Bama's #1 Dl target in the entire cycle. That's how good he is. His senior tape is unreal. I believe Sam said there is an aisstant coach on Lee that has really been helpful in helping keep UM in this. Sam also said UM wants him BAD and has put Wheatley, Partridge, Mattison, and Harbaugh himself on the full court press.

I think Aubrey loves the UM academics but it's clear his mom has to get on board. Guessing they get the red carpet treatment and meet Greg Harden, Gwen Bush, people at the nursing school, etc.

As we're finding out this year, (and many of us know from past years) having an elite and deep DL is essential to fielding a championship caliber team.  That's one big reason why OSU and Alabama are so good every year.  Michigan is back in that group again, and getting kids like Solomon and Tufele would help keep us there.

Honestly, if a kid doesn't want to play somewhere he can see the field right away where he really can't be double-teamed (Mone, Gary, rising Winovich, etc..), and where they are going to win a ton every year, he'd have to be crazy.

A mother who is too attached. Emotion gets in the way of reason very often, and while reason says going to Michigan is a great opportunity for Aubrey, no parent wants their child to be so far away. In This particular case the mother isn't quite ready to set him free on his own path. It happens

The mail snafu this summer was embarrassing for us, but props to this young man for not letting something like that determine whether he takes advantage of this opportunity.
