Athletic Ticket Office ticket order notification for B1G Championship

Submitted by BlueMan80 on November 28th, 2021 at 5:35 PM

For those of you that ordered tickets, I just got my notification of my order being filled.  E-tickets on the way later in the week.

Excited to get tickets in with the Michigan fans instead of random scalper tickets.

See you in Indy and Go Blue!

*** Gotta love my wife.  She had no problem rescheduling our wedding anniversary celebration plans to attend the championship game.

Tickets were $95 and $200 in the initial request email yesterday.  We did not get to choose which one we preferred.  You could order up to four tickets with no guarantee of fulfillment.  The fulfillment confirmation came this evening just after 5pm.  We ended up with the $95 tickets.  Usually there are taxes and a minimal service fee like $10 per ticket when the charge hits your credit card.
Go Blue - beat Iowa!

After attending yesterdays game I may have to watch the Championship game on tv! It was so exhilarating and exhausting for me after a long 3 days of hosting family for Thanksgiving! However I'm still debating. But I'm thinking the smart move is save it for the CFP games! Go blue!

Non season ticket holder here.

Plan on driving to the game from cincinnati. which side of the field are we on? I’m trying to get tickets through stub hub. Also looks like finding hotels is about to suck.

My neighborhood has chartered a bus for several of the Big10 championship games and it has been glorious.  The bus picked us up in our neighborhood (I had to walk a block).  Ride over was comfortable and we had some adult beverages along the way.  The bus arrived a few hours before the game. One year we just stayed on the bus (cold as hell) and another year we walked around until game time.  The bus was parked close to the gates so it was a short walk back to the bus after the game.   Commiserate/Celebrate on the ride back to the neighborhood and enjoy a few more adult beverages.

If you can find some like-minded folks in your circle you might consider it as an option.   Personally, I much preferred the bus to driving/parking on my own and/or trying to find a hotel within walking distance.

I think the bus ride was ~$100-$120 per person.   For reference: I live about a 2 hour car drive from Indy, you are probably closer to 4 hours so might be a bit more.

Good luck either way and enjoy the game.  I am 50+ so it was a nice change of pace to watch a college game in a climate controlled environment.

I've said it before but I will reiterate it here: all ticket websites have service fees.  Sometimes they just build it into the price that is displayed.  Either way, don't focus on what portion is service fees or not since the final price is all that matters.  Also: the service fees on StubHub are based upon the ticket price.  They could be 81.00 per ticket, could be less, or could be even more than that.  Just some relevant information for everyone.

This is mostly true.  They both added service fees.  StubHub apparently just added 81.00 more than TickPick in this case.  TickPick builds their fees into the ticket price.  Glad you were able to save some money.  My post was just about making sure people focus on the final price and not what portion is or isn't a service fee.  Enjoy Indy.  I'm still hoping that my application gets selected by the ticket office.

I live in Indy and there's a chance I get free tix from work, but I had to buy in case that didn't come through and before prices skyrocketed even further.

It should be a great night. Any given Saturday and all, but Iowa isn't that great. I've never seen a team have so many insanely bad INTs fall into their lap. QBs seem to love to throw straight into their chests. Cade typically avoids that.

No email as of 6:01pm.  I have 135 priority points (17,465 out of 60,297) so I may not have enough points.  I did not get a rejection email either, so there is hope.

How many priority points does MGo Users have that did receive Indy tickets?

UPDATE:  I checked my account (6:40pm) and no tickets yet.  Good luck to the rest of you.

Back in the day, if you got married on Thanksgiving weekend, the regular season was over.  Conference championship games did not exist.  Yes, I’ve been married for 37 years.  We ended up getting married on Thanksgiving weekend because we both had demanding jobs and this worked with our family and friends.  In reality, what a horrible time to get married.  We gave up years ago on celebrating near Thanksgiving and have pushed that out until the week after Thanksgiving.

I missed the e-mail.  It got sent to an account where I get so much junk that I often don't check it.  I think I am going to change my e-mail on my ticket account.  I don't know if I would have had enough points in any event to get tickets.  I think I will end up watching this one on TV.

You may want to call the ticket office tomorrow and explain what happened. They are VERY understanding and, based on your points, they may have a solution.

Also, the ticket office is allowing you to back out of your commitment by Noon tomorrow.  So there may be additional tix available at that time.

So essentially everyone who ordered last night gets an email that their request was approved BUT they're not processing until you respond by confirming you want to finalize the purchase, and the deadline to finalizing is noon Monday.

That looks like a very important caveat so please let us know if I'm correct on the process.
