So this is what my increase in season ticket prices paid for, huh? Cool...
August 4th, 2019 at 10:32 PM ^
Lol nope. The shoes were cheap to make, the money was pure profit
August 4th, 2019 at 10:41 PM ^
Jordan paid Michigan $65 Million in cash over and above the $55 million in apparel.
Not sure where your $100 bucks was allocated. Maybe some bulbs or something. They should really get us a breakdown.
August 4th, 2019 at 10:58 PM ^
Really? So why did season ticket prices go up? The athletic department surely must be flush with cash then, right?
Either way, sweet shoe wall. Gotta fill the football building up with something, since no new trophies have come in for a good couple decades now.

2000 Orange Bowl
2000 Big Ten Champions
2003 Big Ten Champions
2004 Big Ten Champions
2012 Sugar Bowl
All within two decades.

Babies who were born during the last Big Ten title season will have driver's licenses soon. Close enough to two decades for me.
Economics has nothing to do with winning. The stadium sells out, there is a high demand for tickets, thus prices go up. It has zero to do with winning or how they spend the money.
Even for me, who was born in 96, when they won in 04, I wasn’t really into college football, I was just a fan because my dad went there and he loved them. It sucks because I only really started following them in 07/08. I didn’t get to enjoy the big ten title. It would sure be nice to win it this year.
Idiotic exaggeration is another thing. But things that are idiotic are more familiar to you so I get it.
August 5th, 2019 at 12:45 PM ^
15 years is close to two decades. It's not that far off, especially when you're used to a conference title once in at least five years.
Ding ding asshole fan alert
August 4th, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
Well, I suppose you could choose to not get the tickets if it's that big of a deal to you.
August 4th, 2019 at 11:16 PM ^
I sit through all the goddamn losses every year, I'll complain about the goddamn shoe wall if I want to.
August 4th, 2019 at 11:23 PM ^
Seems like not getting season tickets would be a solution to both of your problems. You won't have to sit through any losses and you won't have to worry about a shoe wall.
August 4th, 2019 at 11:47 PM ^
38-14 in 4 years is among the best in the country during that timespan. And we’re 24-4 at home.
???
You seem to have no idea what mediocrity actually is
You watched every game the last four seasons?!!?? WOWWOOWWW!!!! You are SOOO special!! I mean, nobody else could've possibly done that! What a great fan you are! I'll surely look to your leadership and vision about the team because you've seen them so much!
Well, no. I won't. You're a jackass...
Much more interested in 1-9, 0-4, and 0. I'm assuming those numbers are in your super book somewhere if you want to look them up.
0 is the amount of fuck any of us give about your complaining.
*YOU* sat through all 4 home losses since 2015. Want a Purple Heart? We all have. You’re no more special than any other fan. You should pass along your gripes to Dave Ablauf, I’m sure he’ll get the word over to Harbaugh asap that things are not to Uncle Firefly’s liking.
August 5th, 2019 at 12:14 PM ^
Fuck off ya big fucking baby. Don't go to the fucking games if it makes you miserable, asshole.
So you’ve sat through 4 losses in the last 4 years. Big fucking deal.
So you were at Cbus and Dallas? Michigan didn’t lose a home game prick
Actually, yes.

Lighten up, Francis
August 4th, 2019 at 11:50 PM ^
No, it’s not actually.
Facilities during the building boom that’s gone on in the last decade are all funded by donors in a fundraising campaign. That display was part of renovations to Schembechler Hall.
August 4th, 2019 at 10:41 PM ^
Schembechler Hall is now a Footlocker.
I like the look of some of the shoes.
August 4th, 2019 at 10:43 PM ^
That’s exactly what it looks like.
August 4th, 2019 at 10:43 PM ^
dang bro where's the desmond mannequin like in the spec video
August 4th, 2019 at 11:26 PM ^
Tommy likey, Tommy want wingy.
August 4th, 2019 at 11:43 PM ^
A shoe wall, cool
Let me know when a wall of shirts that add words when I sweat is up.
August 5th, 2019 at 12:25 AM ^
Yep, that’s a wall with a lot of shoes on it, alright.
The part that sucks is we the public will never see or have a chance to buy these shoes. I’m a huge sneaker head and it’s a shame that we as the public w only get to purchase about 20% of these shoes if that. But if you look at NC, Florida and Oklahoma they have the opportunity to purchase these “special” shoes or they are made available to there fans.
Damn, that shit slaps...
Capitalism at it's best - or worst.
'Tis a fine shoe-wall but it's no pool, English.
August 5th, 2019 at 11:00 AM ^
Da Shoe Wallz ain't fo us. It be for dem croots dawg
August 5th, 2019 at 11:49 AM ^
Ya I know! That wall is bad ass though. I wish we could get more of the shoes available to the fan.
August 5th, 2019 at 12:09 PM ^
In the spirit of self-deprecating humor, I guess the shoes were selected over putting this one in.
Truth hurts...
Except that we have more B1G titles than anyone else and finished Tied for 1st last year.
Fans like you are worse than rival fans.
Tied for first?
Wait for it...... waaaaaait........
Yup, still don't care.
(and I had to pinch a loaf while thinking about it)
Guys, don't antagonize Uncle Firefly. Without the tickets bought by that big spender, the program would be in big trouble. Also, from how he talks, he clearly knows a lot about recruiting, how to build a top football program, marketing, economics, and even the art winning friends and influencing people. (I can recognize a master of Dale Carnegie's techniques when I see one.) Just be grateful that he deigns to be on the message board with us.

looks like a foot locker display
