but I am thoroughly enjoying their crash to earth after all the early season playoff talk.
Their only convincing wins this year are Rice, Purdue....and us :(

Jameis Winston has thrown an interception on 25% of his passes today.
Minnesota, I don't even know what to say. I wasn't expecting that.

Lets go disaster scenario:
Ole Miss > MSU (ntmsu)
UF > FSU
Auburn > Alabama
Then the final four will be TCU Baylor Oregon and... either OSU (depending on Barrett being healthy) or SEC winner (with potential of 3 losses)

Zona over Oregon
November 29th, 2014 at 4:50 PM ^
I am so conflicted on this game. I want Oregon to win (if they win the Civil War), but I am also happy for RR...
I think for the sake of not wanting an SEC team in the playoff I gotta root for Oregon to win.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:11 PM ^
would fall to the bottom of the one-loss teams.
But the ACC swept the SEC in early games, with Ga Tech beating Georgia, Clemson beating South Carolina, and Louisville beating Kentucky. So in my book, the ACC just climbed out of 5th place among the Power 5 leagues. Barrett hurt versus a late season FSU loss? I dunno.
Anyway, I think OSU needs at least 3 losses elsewhere to get into the playoffs. I'm guessing that the committee is placing Baylor behind OSU only because Baylor is presently the 2nd-rated Big 12 team. If TCU were to lose to Iowa State (unlikely barring massive choke), then Baylor would jump OSU (& TCU) with a win over Texas Tech today (leading 21-10) and K-State next week.

Michigan shot 63% in the first half. Up by 33

OSU needs losses to get into the playoff. Nobody is going to be impressed by two wins over a 4-loss Minnesota team.
November 29th, 2014 at 4:59 PM ^
I really like Minnesota's chances in that game. Without Barrett OSU loses their greatest weapon.
November 29th, 2014 at 4:52 PM ^
Just wanted to let it be known that the vaunted SEC is now 0-3 against the ACC today and is down in the 4th game as well against FSU. lol.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:55 PM ^
If Bama goes to the SEC title game, Miss States only real argument over similar one loss teams OSU and TCU/Baylor is that they are ESS-EEE-CEE. The SEC East champion lost to Indiana. Now several teams are losing or have lost to their ACC rivals. MSU's foundation is eroding on them. It's going to very tight between MSU-TCU-OSU if everything holds

but I just saw Wisc. throw the ball the was running down the field.

CC: Jerry Kill?

still down 17-10
November 29th, 2014 at 5:01 PM ^
Just curious when the last time Minnesota won the conference? Still an eternity in that game but I could see either Wiscy or Minnesota giving OSu all it can handle.
Our conf champion losing 30-7 to TCU would be very appropriate :)
ND is the fraud I figured they were by the North Carolina game - ASU and USC both exposing them. They get the same type of recruits we and OSU get - it continues to show me a 4 star in the Midwest is a 3 star in the south or west.

That places them third all time.(!) The Gophers once were great--and maybe heading towards that again.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:03 PM ^
If that happens, Kill will become a candidate for some big time offers.

The Florida player didn't punch him hard enough.

This will be Kelly 3rd season with at least 5 losses and he also has a 4 loss season. Other than the fluke national title beat down at the hands of Alabama Kelly's teams have been mediocore.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:08 PM ^
We just need the top four to not lose a game today or next weekend.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:09 PM ^
Nice little collapse by Minny there.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:11 PM ^
with a bad timed fumble. Wisc. driving before the half to tie
FSU have things under control now.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:13 PM ^
UW scores a FG on the last play of the half to move into a tie vs. Minny at home
UM gives up a FG to be down 3.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:15 PM ^
November 29th, 2014 at 5:19 PM ^
Its 35-7 and ND is kicking a FG. That isn't a collapse. USC gets the ball first in the second half as well. And ND missed the FG.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:16 PM ^
3rd and 2 in Wisc. territory Minn fumbles then gives up a pass setting up a FG (17-13 Minn)
FSU gets punt blocked and Florida scores a TD on next play with 50 seconds to go in half. (FSU 21-16)

as to whether Brian Kelly is a good coach or not.
On the one hand, yes.
On the other hand, well...
November 29th, 2014 at 5:27 PM ^
Hogan and Schultz's 31-10 victory over UCLA may still prove to be significant in knocking the top two-loss team out of the playoff picture.
OK, I just wanted to post about Hogan and Schultz.

Michigan State has managed their 13 points with only 122 yards offense - they are legitimately being hounded by PSU's defense on series and it is nice to see. I doubt PSU wins this, but they might make the Spartans earn it.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:19 PM ^
ND quit on Kelly?
November 29th, 2014 at 5:21 PM ^
Give Ole Miss credit - no Treadwell and playing Miss State very tough. The best team money can buy. Allegedly. Looked at some mock drafts for next year and the year after and it is littered with Ole Miss players in the first few rounds.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:22 PM ^
That might be a good reason for Hugh Freeze to strike while the iron is hot. Not that I want him at Michigan.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:23 PM ^
I still think Auburn is the dirtiest team down there but Ole Miss is gaining.
Ole Miss hasn't looked good since Treadwell's injury. They came to play today.
November 29th, 2014 at 5:26 PM ^
With Barret done for the year I can't see OSU beating either Minny or Wisconsin.
