I obviously love the hire and wanted him as long ago as 2007 but I refuse to pretend anyone is infallible. That said, all the bitching is purely a case of not wanting to work as hard as Harbaugh seemingly has to (lol) and/or not thinking of it first. You're not going to out work the man - period. HCs want everything from the money to the power to the breaks of having people that can do and think for them. They HATE that Jim genuinely wants to out work them. He is a fucking jackhammer. I wish I had his energy and I'm 20 years younger. He's just one of those people that like to work hard at what they do, like, CRAZY hard. That bothers contemporaries.

I think it is brave of the SEC and ACC to send the kids home and not have swimming practice the whole week before nationals just because it falls during spring break.  Same with gymnastics.

These are the same assholes who schedule games and practices during finals.  It's no surprise they care more about their vacations than their grades.

You know, the kids can quit if they don't like it. They don't have to work hard and earn a career in the NFL if they don't want to. I'm pretty sure I played like 10 baseball games over spring break week for 4 years in high school. Come on man. Playing college ball is a privilege. If you don't want to give it your all, there are 100,000 other boys who would give anything for the opportunity. Thank goodness we are recruiting the kind of kids who understand that.

Call their bluff.  Still have some practices at IMG, just not during Spring Break.

In fact, make one of those practices like a Spring Game and invite all the local high schools to come watch and talk to Harbaugh.

First 100 get free admission to Harbaugh's sattellite camp to be held at IMG.

I've heard a lot of great points mentioned here and other places, for spring pactice as well as summer swarm. Bottom line is the SEC's rational doesn't pass the laugh-test. and the real reason is protecting recruiting territory.

I think that Michigan and other like-minded schools and conferences need to unite and prepare to lobby the NCAA as well  and/or prepare to litigate if need be.

want to give their student-athletes the break from fall finals until winter semester. You know, skip bowl season so guys can be with family and friends. No? Didn't think so. Are any of the media smart enough and brave enough to challenge these guys on their hypocrisy? Again, no. Carry on, Jim.

The only thing that would make me happier than a clean sweep of our rivals next year would be a colossal beat down of Bama and Clemson back to back to win it all.

......hey a fan can dream!

Queue Harbaugh tweet of JFKs "we're going to the the moon"

And....

"Next year we're going for the big one"

These guys couldn't care less about the well being of students. They're just pissed because Harbaugh is setting up camp in their own backyard and they can't do shit about it.

You don't like it? Set up a camp in Detroit, Cleveland, Cincy, or some other Midwest recruiting hotbed.

Both my boys while in high school spent each Spring break in FL with two a day baseball practices. Well, they loved it, raised money to pay and was with their buddies playing and practicing the game they loved.

The only difference here is the football players are older and don't have to pay there way. Wow, sounds ideal to me.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that other ACC and SEC sports have practices over spring break so do they want to eliminate all of this or just for football?  Hmm, but yeah, it's totally about the free time of the kids.
