Eight  Wolverines were named to the Athlons Pre Season All American Team (tied for the most with Ohio St)

1st team- Blake Corum

2nd team - Drake Nugent ,Zak Zinter ,Junior Colson

3rd team - Donovan Edwards,Kris Jenkins,Will Johnson

4th team - Rod Moore

* kinda surprised not to see Trevor Keegan or Mason Graham not on any of the 4 teams

Hausmann might be our best LB, yet Colson is on the AA list.  I will predict that Johnson makes 2nd team at worst, and Colson isn't on list. We have been anointing him every year.

And I predict one other player will make the list.

OP, this has already been posted, so you may get some lumps (three or four), but thanks for including a link and a list of UM honorees.

Personal opinion: Athlon is second rate.

Another personal opinion: Donovan Edwards is going to be a monster. His combination of speed out of the backfield and elite receiving skills will make him All B1G, first or second tem All America and a first round draft pick. Book it.

Did you not see Gibbs just get drafted in the first round?   That is what I would compare Edwards to.   A guy who can play in the slot or be a RB.   He very well could be drafted before Blake.   They both are one of the best RBs in Michigan history already and after this year they will be the best duo to every play at Michigan.  Also I could see the NFL types valuing him more then Blake but who knows. Each team views RBs different but both should be drafted within the first 2 rounds barring injury.

I just remember the broken hand. Was he injured another time that I don't recall?

Injury prone to me means something chronic and structural, like bad hammies or an ACL, or concussion-prone. A broken bone is more of a random event that could happen to everyone and usually heals with no long-tern effects.

Mason Graham is good but I bet not many know of him outside of Michigan fans or diehard college football fans.   He was good last year but is no where near All-American status yet.    After this year I bet he starts getting more looks as a All Big Ten player.
