The only order these are in is as they come to my head:
'04 against MSU at the Big House (2nd and last game I've been to)
Orange Bowl against Alabama
some game way back when against Purdue in which we smoked them. 1st game at the Big House. Elvis Grbac was QB, relieved by Todd Collins when the game got absurd.
16-9 win against OSU in like 94 or 96, whichever. the one where Tai Streets caught that slant pass for TD.
97 (98 NYD) Rose Bowl against Wazzu
08 C1 Bowl against Florida
34-8 housing of PSU, 97

He was asked at the post-game press conference why he went for two with the game already in hand. His response was because he "couldn't go for three."
What a prick.

1) '97 Penn State 34-8. It wasn't as close as the score.
2) '02 Michigan State 49-3. Fuck you Spartan Bob, we love you Bobby Williams.
3) '95(?) Illinois 38-14. Illinois players did soooooo much trashtalking before that game, claiming they wished they could play Michigan twice. Eat shit, assholes.
4) '03 Notre Dame 38-0. Thrashing ND like that is really sweet, and unlike the '07 Cripple Fight, Michigan still had hopes for a special season at the time.
5) '06 Notre Dame 47-21. Charlie Weiss should probably eat less.

I have only been a fan since my frosh year in 03, but the 97 win over PSU must have been absolutely incredible. I mean, UM was expected to get absolutely crushed. I think Beano Cook said something like Michigan should just forfeit the game. To just destroy State Penn like that must have been just awesome.
It must have been somewhat like the joy I felt when we beat ND in 06 for the first time in 3 years and by so much. It was just incredible, beginning when Prescott Burgess returned that INT for a TD. But then the OSU loss messed everything up. Damn that terrible turf that was sodded that week. Cheating bastards.

1. OSU '03- Just a great win, best I've ever felt after watching a UM game.
2. ND '06 - Yeah we'll do our talking after the game charlie. Great start to what should have been a great season.
3. Florida '08 - Feel good win, send the coaching staff and seniors out with a W.
4. MSU '04 - I had basically given up all hope, luckily the Sparty Swoon took place, probably the most exciting Michigan game I've seen besides the '05 rose bowl.
5. 2002 PSU - Great overtime victory.

In the last 15 years, Michigan has beaten OSU when OSU was ranked #5 or higher ['93, '95, '96, '97, '03]. Thats one third of the time (which, coincidentally, is about the frequency Michigan wins the game these days).
But Michigan comming back from a 28 point deficit or winning a Rose Bowl, much more rare.

Fuck Ohio St. We're better than having to mention playing spoiler.
'97 OSU game. unless you were there, words can't describe it.

1. 97 OSU was the best. The Rose Bowl was a little anticlimatic in comparison (we were heavy favorites over WSU).
2. '03 OSU was also great. When Braylon caught an 85-yard TD to put us up big (which was called back due to holding) the crowd was as loud as I've ever heard it. Then it got close before we completed a huge 3rd and long pass to ice it.
3. '97 PSU was incredibly satisfying. It's hard to believe now, but people were saying that we were jinxed against PSU, since we'd lost three straight to them. Then we just stomped all over them. It was 34-0 after three quarters. '06 ND was obviously similar.
4. '99 'Bama was one of the best overall games (Michigan or otherwise) I've ever watched.
5. '04 MSU - painful to watch for 3 quarters, then phenomenal in the 4th and OTs
Honorable mention: '92 Washington (Rose Bowl), '93 OSU, '94 ND, '95 Virginia, '95 OSU, '96 OSU, '99 PSU, '02 Washington, '03 Minnesota, '06 ND, '07 Florida.

Clearly the 97 OSU game was the best, and 98 Rose Bowl and 97 PSU are right there as well, but there seems to be little love for two of the best ND games.
1991 and the Catch. The game ended a run of futility against the Irish. And Desmond's Catch is one of the iconic moments in Michigan history.
And the 1997 ND game was extrememly exciting. The Irish had four consecutive possessions in our territory in the late 3rd quarter and the 4th. Our offense had a number of drives where it stalled or turned the ball over. But the D absolutely owned the four time Heisman winner down the stretch. While ND's season went south after that, at the time it was extremely satisfying.
