247's Updated Top 100
247's new top 100 is out. UM has five with Kalis at 40, Wormley at 56, Magnuson at 63, Pipkins at 88, and Ross at 100. I remember TRich being high previously ( in the 30s I believe), and don't remember if they had Wormley that high. Nice to see Pipkins get the bump, and it looks like he will jump into the Rivals 100 when they update too.

JC Shuburtt mentioned on one of their boards that they were really underwhelmed by T-Rich's performance at the Gridiron Kings 7on7 games. Just FWIW

I read that he fell outside the top 100, but not too far. The analyst said the he still likes his hips and closing speed.

I remember reading that article too. Seems like they still like him as a prospect, they just thought they rated him a little too high from the start.

Terry Richardson was #31 overall in the original ranking.
I like Richardson, but he was overrated in that list.
(Wayne Morgan was #33 overall.)

Terry had a bad run at the Grid iron kings 7 on 7. Which is probably why he dropped so far, I'm wondering if it has anything to do with reopening DB recruiting. Wayne Morgan also had a terrible run there, I think he was selected as most over rated

He dropped from a 4* (12th ranked safety?-somewhere around there) on Scout to their 95th rated safety.

I forgot which website I saw this on, but an analyst said that Morgan's early rankings had to do with great self marketing. Do you have any idea what that means?

If I had to guess, I'd say it means he sent his highlights out nationally and got several offers, probably camped well a few times too against poor competition. Not sure exactly what he means by that, though.
I mean, he's still got pretty good athleticism and upside, but these camps are showing that he's not good enough to face top-tier talent yet.

Zeke pike's stock is also dropping fast, was 18 nationally 5 star....now 98 nationally 4 star. He had a couple weak outings, especially the nike camp in columbus.

He is coming off shoulder surgery I believe though. I am interested to see how he does this season as he gets healthier. Some of the sites have downgraded his ranking, but all have mentioned they want to see how he performs once he is fully healthy.

Did anyone see the Gruden-Newton interview where Gruden was asking Cam to list off one of his more complex plays that he has to call in the huddle? Cam responded that it was something like "36 red" or something very similarly easy to that. Gruden then just looked at him blankly for a moment and said something like, "Yeah, so you're going to have to learn in the pros that calling plays is an entire new language."

At least once, maybe twice. I know for sure they update after the All-American games.

I believe they rerank around now after all the summer camps, and then again after senior seasons and the AA games.

these guys move up. How can Kalis be top 40 in the nation, but not top 10 in ohio.
