Guy’s film looks pretty solid. Like a high end 3* prospect.

Hello recruits. We are the number three team in the nation. We made the College Football Playoff last season. We are fifth in number of players drafted to the NFL in our current coach’s tenure. We have a top offensive line including number one in the nation in line yards per carry on passing downs.

They're not listening this year. Lots of visits, nobody committing. No high profile guys certainly

It kills me to see Penn State ahead of us in the 247 rankings. I just don't understand what is going on.

Harbaugh is leaving, Poggi is leaving, Gattis is coming home!

Weird that we basically said the same thing and people don't like it
November 16th, 2022 at 10:01 AM ^
Its pretty simple, Franklin is a better recruiter than Harbaugh.

Great. Recruits who buy his garbage can go there and have the pleasure of losing to Michigan by three scores on a regular basis.

We gotta be pissed about something, right? And it can't be about our record the past two years.

Thanks Vikings!

It’s starting to become strange the degree to which recruiting is lagging behind success on the field. At this point, Michigan should be especially attractive to RBs and O-linemen.

I love your last sentence! Points for creativity and humor!

Wiltfong put in a crystal ball pick to us about an hour ago.

I've heard the theory a lot that all of the coaching changes and Harbaugh flirting with the NFL killed momentum for this class, and that makes sense. But I also wonder if because we aren't as aggressive with NIL upfront (supposedly) we'll have up-and-down recruiting classes because guys will either want upfront NIL (and won't care if they sit the bench) or a good shot at playing time. And with the stellar 2022 class we're just due for a down year.

It's likely a combo of things:
- Courtney Morgan leaving
- Macdonald and Gattis leaving
- Harbaugh NFL flirtation
- NIL not good enough
- Notre Dame's recruiting rise has directly hurt us
- No leader in the 2023 class (JJ in 2021 and Will Johnson in 2022)
The good news is that 2024 class seems to be off to a good start

What if some of our commitments are simply underrated? Harbaugh's staff has unearthed quite a few diamonds in the rough.
My thinking is that if we offer a sleeper early on in the process, he has a solid chance of panning out. That suggests he's a high priority for the staff.

It's definitely possible. Seems like the last few seasons and into the NIL era we've put a higher emphasis on player fit rather than ranking
November 15th, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
On3 has him as the #129 ranked player in the country. Let’s hope their assessment is more accurate than the other 3.

I know evaluating HS OL is challenging, but that's quite a spread.
November 15th, 2022 at 10:04 PM ^
I agree man, pretty wild the inconsistency on this one
November 15th, 2022 at 11:20 PM ^
Clearly, the ON3 guys are geniuses.
November 16th, 2022 at 8:27 AM ^
Holy fuck 247 hates the poor kid
November 16th, 2022 at 8:48 AM ^
At this point I think ESPN should probably be taken out of aggregate and consensus rankings for football. They seem like they have given up trying to compete in the CFB recruiting world and just throw rankings and numbers up at near random with little to no scouting or viewing of said prospects.

Responding to some of the NIL people in here...it seems like a sure thing, giving bags of cash to unproven 17-year-olds, just ask Texas A&M. Or look at the star QB at Texas. The Longhorns must be undefeated for sure.
November 16th, 2022 at 7:15 PM ^
Miami QB promised the bag then decomitted anyway
November 15th, 2022 at 10:19 PM ^
We badly need numbers in the oline, hope he commits!

1.
2.
...he knows what to do.

3 and to the 4?

5 everybody’s in the car so come on let’s ride.

after following recruiting so long, I know OL is a tough one to project...
spend some time in the weight room and see where he is in a couple of years.
With Moore in charge of the OL, this is one area that doesn't concern me too much
