2022 SG Fletcher Loyer to Purdue
Per mlive, Purdue beat out Michigan for the younger brother of MSU's Foster Loyer for this top 150 composite recruit, a 6'5 possibly-just-a-shooter type.
Fletcher played in Michigan until transferring to Homestead outside FT Wayne (where Caleb Swanigan also played)

Now this is a coping mechanism I can get behind.

Here's a theory, this is the guy who talks about his MSU lost love.

Where goest ThePonyConqueror? Did I miss his exile to Bolivia post?

check the mod action sticky. he requested to be banned. they obliged.
November 24th, 2020 at 4:02 PM ^
Yes he is definitely not a newbie. I noticed how he quickly posted in the mod action sticky about banning trolls shortly after joining. Let the investigation begin!

If this is the new pony man I am so far okay with the reincarnation.
November 24th, 2020 at 2:26 PM ^

Is that Drew Brees’s xrays ?
November 25th, 2020 at 1:37 AM ^
Gave me late night munchies :(
November 24th, 2020 at 1:48 PM ^
I think we'll be okay
November 24th, 2020 at 1:48 PM ^
I think we will manage without him
November 24th, 2020 at 1:49 PM ^
Good player but I'm going to go ahead and trust that the coaching staff has other irons in the fire. No day drinking or FIRE HARBAUGH tweets required after reading.
November 24th, 2020 at 1:55 PM ^
We should hire him as our football coach

Ribs for training table
November 24th, 2020 at 2:11 PM ^
We have to leave some ribs for Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and of course Head Coach.
November 24th, 2020 at 2:25 PM ^
Come on man, you've been a member for less than a day, and the rib posts are getting annoying.
November 24th, 2020 at 2:32 PM ^
Sorry. Maybe this rack of ribs will cheer you up
My treat!
November 24th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
I think he’s just ribbing you.

On available evidence I think we can handle this minor recruiting stumble:

I don't see why this account thinks it's a bad call. It's clearly a block because Loyer didn't give Tre Jones a safe space to land and wasn't in legal guarding position. It sucks but 100% the right call.
November 24th, 2020 at 2:27 PM ^
he grabbed his foot while being trampled on, the call was late though
November 24th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
I can see argument that the call was late but it's 100% a correct call
November 24th, 2020 at 2:40 PM ^
Agreed it was not a bad call. I couldn't find the clip elsewhere, and just wanted to (again) share the schadenfreude.
November 24th, 2020 at 1:58 PM ^
Best of luck to him - except when he plays Michigan. We'll be fine. I'm betting Juwan will find someone even better.
November 24th, 2020 at 2:02 PM ^
It's a good fit for him and Painter knows how to utilize shooters in his system. He can really shoot the rock
November 24th, 2020 at 2:15 PM ^
Is he better than his midget brother Foster?
November 24th, 2020 at 2:20 PM ^
He is 3 inches taller than his brother
about the size of one of these delicious ribs
November 24th, 2020 at 2:30 PM ^
younger brother of MSU's Foster Loyer for this top 150 composite recruit, a 6'5 possibly-just-a-shooter type.
Does he have a different mom than Foster? 6'5" is like 6 inches taller than his older brother.
November 24th, 2020 at 3:32 PM ^
i dunno man jordan glasgow was way smaller than ryan and graham
November 25th, 2020 at 10:04 AM ^
He was adopted?
November 24th, 2020 at 5:59 PM ^
6 inches maybe if Foster was in shoes and you cut Fletcher off at the ankles
November 24th, 2020 at 2:35 PM ^
Snarky comment generator:
Izzo secretly hoping his brother will transfer to join him at Purdue.
Almost as highly rated as his brother! Hope he can translate to college equally as well!

There was a video that Brian posted here, of his msu brother getting stepped on after tripping I think, that made me laugh out loud... now I actually don't remember it, all I remember was funny as heck.
November 24th, 2020 at 3:33 PM ^
it's linked in a tweet above
he trips, grabs the offensive players leg (who scores) and then gets stomped on and called for a foul
November 24th, 2020 at 2:48 PM ^
Oh that’s where I went to high school. Weird.
November 24th, 2020 at 3:09 PM ^
I have nothing against his brother Foster but I don't know how Foster was ever ranked so high. His game just reminds me of a better shooting Andrew Dakich.
November 24th, 2020 at 3:26 PM ^
Yeah, Notre Dame, Utah, Missouri and others as well. Seems like I keep seeing this posted as beating out Michigan as if it was a top 2 or something. Somehow, some way I feel as if Howard will overcome this in 2022.
November 24th, 2020 at 3:51 PM ^
I don't think he was a take for us.
November 24th, 2020 at 4:36 PM ^
I think he was more of a Plan B kind of guy but I can see why Juwan recruited him bc he's a local kid and he can shoot.
November 24th, 2020 at 5:46 PM ^
yeah, he had an "offer" last summer but I'm guessing it was contingent on performance, etc
his 3 point numbers after 2 years of high school could make him an outstanding catch and shoot contributor. His Dad was also interim coach for the Pistons in 2014 after Maurice Cheeks was fired compiling an 8-24 record
Not worried about Michigan here, and even my Purdue friends weren't aware of this guy before he committed
November 24th, 2020 at 4:15 PM ^
Good for him. I hope he has a great career. I believe our '22 class will be just fine.
November 24th, 2020 at 4:37 PM ^
Great fit for Fletcher. Great kid that attended my camp for the last few years. While he's certainly a high-major prospect, he doesn't necessarily fit the mold of player Coach Howard is pursuing. We never made a big push here and to be candid, we have bigger fish to fry. Best of luck to the young man at Purdue.
November 24th, 2020 at 5:50 PM ^
Thanks for the input -- I wouldn't be surprised if he was a day one contributor for the boilers, depending on how their strong 2021 class with Caleb Furst (also from Fort Wayne) and Trey Kaufman pans out
November 24th, 2020 at 6:03 PM ^
Matt, two questions. One, what mold of player is Juwan pursuing at the SG spot? Two, do feel as if we are done for 21 or do you think there's a real possibility to add a player late?
November 24th, 2020 at 6:07 PM ^
Coach Howard prefers prospects that are more physically gifted athletes that can compete early on. That's really across the board, as opposed to the SG position exclusively.
There is a possibility to add a a player late in the 2021 cycle, but it would likely have to be an impact player rather than a prospect that projects to be a backend rotation player.
