This one hurts especially with what Matt D said about if Beilein had stayed. Dude is gonna be 5* imo when all is said and done. Can't really blame him picking UVA though
Yeah well. Nice player.
I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you.
Ouch. Saw this one coming, but still disappointing. Looks like a damn good player.
....but we spend more on player's food!!!
fire the golf coaches.
and maybe the men's synchronized checkers coach, too.
Fire Warde.
But the tiddlywinks coach gets let off the hook?
But we JUST got a new golf coach.
The guy who makes the signs for the parking spaces is gonna be pissed...
Best of luck, young man. On to the next.
What did he say about if Beilein had stayed? Had a good chance to get him?
Yes, probably would've been MGoBlue...
I believe he said that if Beilein was still coach, he would’ve committed on his official. He was basically just waiting for his offer to commit
Whatever.Dont want a kid that puts a school in the top 2 and never visits. Just say your committed to UVA. Sounds like a drama queen. Rocketman.
lol chill, Jesus
Ummm. The player not visiting had a great deal to do with the coach leaving. How exactly is that not logical?
I know it's a long way to signing day for the 2020 class but Howard and his staff really have their work cut out for them. With 3 more spots open for sure, not including any attrition, its gonna be tough. If you look at the top 100, most of them are crystall balled to other teams. He hasn't really offered that many players so far either. The 2020 class will be important for the program going forward. Not blaming Howard or his staff because they came on late, but they are gonna have to work overtime to make up ground.
I think the big tipping point in 2020 class (and really Juwan's tenure at Michigan) is how this first season goes.
If we remain a Sweet 16 team, Wagner lives up to the hype, guys take step forward and the program trajectory is good, Juwan will have the leverage to reel in these guys, especially since the handcuffs of Beilein's "offer only after visit" philosophy is gone.
If things take a step back and we're missing the tournament, it's going to be hard to find 5 stars willing to hop on board. There are worse fates than being a mid-level Big 10 squad, but Penn St and Minnesota aren't exactly rolling in recruits.
Its nearly impossible to miss the tourney with what we are returning. I just don't get some of you. One guy posts this team is 50/50 to make the tourney next year, and all the sheep bandwagon behind it.
This is a fucking real good team returning, and Livers is going to blow up. No way we miss the tourney unless 2 major injuries happen. Relax.
Just want to say I agree with you, this is a really great team returning, especially with the addition of Wagner adding shooting chops, which was looking like the achilles heel of the squad. I'm expecting the squad to be in the mix for the Big 10 titles.
I'm just pointing out that the quality of recruits that we'll land in 2020 will be dependent on how the team performs in the season, so I'm not super worried about the lack of buzz now. If Juwan is the real deal, the recruits will come.
Agreed, Howard is really working from
behind on a lot of guys. I think if Beiliein had left right after the season, we’d be in a much better position with some top guys
we had a shot at shareef
but we didn't get a shot at his deputy
Good job by Coach Howard to even get Michigan into his final two, IMO.
Status as the school for all sons of NBA players is not yet established under Juwan.
UVA so hot right now
