2014 NBA Draft Open Thread

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Will tonight be the first time since 1990 where Michigan has a trio of first rounders?

Will the Pistons take a Wolverine if one is available?

Will Jordan Morgan sneak in the draft?

John Beilein said he will wait out all 60 picks to see if JMo gets drafted.

Zak Irvin will be a higher draft pick than Gary Harris.

Whether it be next year or the year after.

I like James Young, but Simmons is getting a little bit crazy. The next time he plays defense will be the first. He has the tools to be a good defender but he tanked it on that end all year.

Yeah, I just realized that as I went to hit edit.

I'm just having too much of a field day with their lack of 1st rounders recently as well as having no lottery picks in over a decade.

Still, Michigan leads them in 1st rounders 3-2 in the 2010s. And I have a feeling that Michigan's lead will grow shortly.

Ennis going to the Suns is interesting, because now they have Ennis, Bledsoe and Dragic. There are reports that the Suns really want Greg Monroe, and the Pistons could really use Bledsoe, who is the odd man in PHX. Bledsoe is a RFA like Monroe. Could be a trade there for the Pistons.

YES!!!!!!

My lady friend is going crazy right now. She met him yesterday at MDen, and now he's going to play for her favorite NBA team.

Great for Mitch.

Glad to see McGary going somewhere that seems like a really good fit for him.  They don't need to count on him for points.  The rebounds, hustle, passing, court IQ will make him valuable.  He may be a piece of a championship puzzle.

Really a little surprised Payne went before Harris, but otherwise draft kinda looks like what people thought it would.  Gordon was maybe a bit of a stretch at 4, and Nik a bit of a surprise that early, but really not that crazy of a draft.

Hopefully GRIII goes to a team like Miami.
