It's also predictable.

Lions win today.  3-0!  True NFC contenders, just beat the defending NFC Champions!

Loss at Minnesota.  That's fine, road divisional game.

Back-to-back wins over Carolina and New Orleans.  5-1, leading the NFC North.

Back-to-back losses to Pittsburgh and Green Bay.  Concerning, losses to other SB contenders.

3-straight wins into Thanksgiving.  8-3, still leading the NFC North!

Back-to-back road losses to Baltimore and Tampa Bay.  8-5, getting nervous, feeling some deja vu.

Beat the Bears.  9-5, clinch a playoff spot!

Road loss to the 2-12 Bengals on Christmas Eve.  Really?

Yet another home loss to the Packers to end the regular season.

Wildcard loss to (fill in the blank).  I'll guess Atlanta this year.

I've seen this before. Many times. I want this to be the time. I hope this is the year. I just can't bring myself around yet. I hope you understand.

I look at today as yesterday's game in a lot of ways. Purdue at home and excited from a hot start and looking to prove something' against a strong visiting Michigan team. The Lions are Purdue. Please, please prove me wrong....

Poor pursuit by the LBs this game. Was going to say it before the announcers did. That cheap shot on Davis last week really cost the Lions. Hopefully it's not something that continues to linger. Huge drop-off from the rookie to his backup.

Edit: and this exposes the real weakness of the Lions. Lack of depth. They can't overcome injuries. Drop-offs on the offensive line and LB from starter to backup are huge.

When they spread it out, Lions could take out their middle linebacker who's been picked on all game and play their normal game. Atlanta should continue to run a traditional offense because then Lions will bite more on run fakes.

Yeah, it's been.... not great. I could probably count on both hands the number of DERP plays Peppers had in his two years at Michigan but he's been just bad today even if the PI call was borderline bullshit. At this point you gotta wonder if the 1987 Niners would turn into ass if they put on Browns uniforms.
