14th Commit?
Go Blue Wolverine (Scout.com's michigan site) is now suggesting a 14th commit may be on the way. http://michigan.scout.com/a.z?s=162&p=2&c=1075691&ssf=1&RequestedURL=ht… . I dont know if anyone has any info on this i just thought id share the link.
How can this day get any bettert?!?!?!?!
Just wait until the article comes out.
i guess the tressel thing isnt in june but still its awesome. Will this kid commit within the next week?
im kinda sad that Hoke couldn't stomp him this year but ill take it. I take it that those kids on the edge between Us and Ohio will be making their decisions within the next month?
I can't stay like this for more than 4 hours. The commercials said so.
Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...Dr. Tom?
You might want to seek medical attention...
Tom, are we talking a matter of hours, days?
I Dunn have one idea how that might happen.
Besides Dunn's dad, I think Gant is the only other parent that Tom has talked to if memory serves.
thing i think most of the parents are involved with recruiting
Yeah I know, may be I was reading too much into the "kid's dad" comment by Tom
Magnuson makes sense...but I want to start all the Dunn speculation.
I'll take a tackle with his offer list over anyone barring a d-tackle with a similar offer list. I really think Lewan is elite and having another elite kid to put on the right side makes for a really scary offense.
To clarify, I would rather have Magnuson than Dunn, but if Dunn would switch his commit today, that would be the ultimate icing on the cake.
But, I feel bad for kids who sincerely wanted to attend OSU. I despise the entire state of OHIO, I just feel bad for kids who don't get to do what they have worked hard for.
If they really want to attend tehOSU, they probably still can. In fact, there will probably be a few more openings in this class.
Leave the gun, take the Wormley.
A mod on Scout's free board also posted:
"maybe you guys should start doing the "worm"!"
sense because it was a race between us and Ohio and now that Ohio is officially screwed its simple
It seems like Tom Strobel satisfies these criteria, too.
hes looking at notre dame too
It'll be a good June for the Wolverines......and it will start a day early.
Am I the only one thinking that we need to make room for 25-26 spots in this class. Too much of a perfect storm right now.
"make room" we have a certain number we can take, no need to go SEC on recruits
I believe they could choose not to renew enough 5th years to make this happen...
That's why I wish Hoke would have held off last year and banked some scholarships for this year. It was know that Michigan and Ohio were loaded and I would have preferred the open spots this year versus taking three star recruits from perennial lower tier programs. I'm not saying those kids won't work out I would have preferred having more spots available this year. It can still happen as I still expect some more attrition, but I would be nice if we didn't have to worry about attrition(APR) to be at 25-26.
For a "disastrous tiny recruiting class that will kill us in 4 years". People were panicking about a ten men class; no one was talking "banking scholarships".
It's not Wormley.
Based on what?
Because Wormley's father doesn't talk much to the recruiting services. Gant's father does.
Do you know for sure or are you just saying that because we know Gant's father has spoken to Tom.
Wayne Morgan and Chris Wormley check.
Soon to follow Gant?
I'll say this, since a lot of this stuff is going to get out sooner or later anyway. There are three kids that I know of right now that have moved their decisions up. One is the recruit I mentioned above, and it will happen very very soon. One doesn't know when he'll decide, but is planning on moving it up, I'd imagine he'll figure that out shortly. The other has moved it up but isn't because of the Jim Tressel stuff.
I'll let you know who they are when they happen. I'm not including the Wayne Morgan announcement in these three either.
Oh Tom, you ole' tease.
only one can wish but if we add those 3 plus wayne morgan that means we are at 16 commits people better start committing quicker if they want a spot
I would agree with those three
I normally don't like to, but it will eventually be reported by others so I'll just put it out there now.
Are these 3 players all going to commit to UM? Or are they just moving their decision up?
Well Tom can't tell us everything!
he didnt write about them just to say they are going to commit to another school.
Jeez...thanks tom this has become possibly the greatest memorial day i have ever celebrated....The most wanted and hated man in america is dead and now Michigan is coming back from the black hole we put ourselves in for about 4 yrs or so...
Things are coming up nicely...
Awsome! Just awsome thats all!
It'd be nice to take 38 recruits this year...it's a good problem to have I suppose that we'll be turning kids away at the door come signing day (or before)...
