Go Blue.  Shock the World.  (Or just the regional audience interested in this early season matchup with limited consequences).

Observations:

Just not that good. Not much talent on this team. Brooks and DDJ were hopeful to turn corner early in season haven’t done much over last 30 days. Wagner we kept thinking was just rusty, but he’s a ways from being ready. Z and Teske is all  you trust, and Z is offensively challenged. No Livers to me has really exploited this teams talent.

For a team not overly talented at putting the ball in the basket, how can the D be so bad? Can’t give up that many points when you don’t have many scorers. Just so many guys who aren’t ready for the big lights of a big road game. I think we thought after Atlantis this team would play WAY above their limits. Now just settling in to what we probably thought. Lots of tough nights can’t see us winning many road games in this conference.

If I could punch one face in all of sports it would be Tom Izzo. Dude whines about EVERYTHING! Why would any parent want their kid to go play for this short clown is beyond me.

Winston is good. But he gets so many joke calls. He got at least 3-4.

Problem is that Teske already looks exhausted. He got a break for 2 or 3 mins after the under-8 timeout, and that seemed to help a bit, but his performance really drops off when he gets fatigued and something about the pick-n-roll defense on Tillman+Winston really wears him out

I forgot how toxic these threads during the games are. It’s game 3 of the conference schedule in early January and people here are already deciding the season is a failure.

We all knew this team was limited.  I don't think anyone is down on the program, we are just coming to grips with reality.

There's nothing to be mad about, the staff & players are working hard. Juwan has done a great job, and the future is bright.

Just get to the dance this year, the rest us gravy this season

Huge disparity in fouls. Home cooking or just the more aggressive team? I would say both. Michigan is being too timid and needs to show some heart if they don’t want to get blown out badly

Defensively we either need to double Winston on all screens, or play a zone. Our regular screen defense is just getting shredded. Make the role players beat you, and if they do, so be it

The team needs Johns and Wagner to pull the trigger from deep. They seem so hesitant to shoot. Brooks isn't as hesitant, but he's got to knock a couple down. We're no going to win this game feeding the ball in to Big Jon, we have to hit some shots from deep, which will open up driving lanes and passing lanes.

Watching this game is like taking a shit. Necessary and scheduled, and may or may not feel good.

Juwan is making the most with Belien’s empty cupboard.

Can’t fucking wait for Winston to graduate. That guy takes over the game every single time he plays Michigan. Whoever replaces him next year can’t possibly be better.

How Izzo keeps convincing guys to come back to school when they should leave is beyond me.

I'm curious about Z's follow in behind the guy hes guarding style of defense this year. It's like hes attempting to lead them into a trap but theres never anyone there. That's not gonna work with Winston especially because he leans forward on most shots

Winston is so crafty. Don't think he'll be much of an NBA player,  but he's dynamite in college.

That said, Stockton and Nash were crafty players that excelled in the league...if Winston can develop as a 40% 3 point shooter in the league, he could be a good starting point guard.

Yeah, Stockton was great.  People don't realize it because he was a short white guy (they think hw was just a smart system player), but when they interview those that played against him (Gary Payton, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson) to name a few, they talk about how strong he was, how quick he was, and how he anticipated everything on the both ends of the floor better than anyone in the league in that era. Add in the fact that he was an elite shooter, and he is obviously an all timer.

Seeing Z and Cassius develop over the years... man where would Michigan be if Cash came here.

Z owned him the first 2 meetings and Cash has just destroyed us the last 4.
