Bankers Life is the beautiful home court for the Indiana Pacers near the heart of downtown Indy.  Go blue! (Thanks again Dylan Burkhardt for breaking info)

Yes! Raftery is the one "name" color commentator I can still abide. He leans a bit too heavily into his shtick -- though far less than Vitale and Walton -- and he seems to actually enjoy the game, rather than talking about his book, or his upcoming banquet, or Hawaii, or ... other non-game related nonsense. Plus, "Send it in, Jerome!" is an all-time classic, still. :-)

It's going to be interesting to see how the guards match up.  Huge size discrepancy there.  Hopefully Mike Smith can play better after a very poor showing against LSU today.  If Michigan can contain Scottie Barnes and keep FSU from dominating the interior, they can run away with this one.

What you describe is what Smith faced today.

He's definitely a key piece of Michigan's season but tonite Smith also showed why he was an Ivy PG rather than a P5 one.

I cannot imagine FSU won't exploit the size and speed difference like LSU did tonight.

He didn't have a particularly good game, I guess. But there really is more to basketball than is reflected in the box-score, and I remember, when Terrance Williams turned the ball over near half-court, thinking, "good God, let Smith bring the ball up-court!" Smith is a distributor, floor spacer, and game manager, with the ability -- as he showed -- to hit the open three or race downcourt for the lay-up. I'll take him on my team -- even the way he played last night -- anytime.

That’s the one time slot that’s tough for me. Probably miss most of the game. Very glad of course they are playing it and will be furiously checking ESPN, mgoblog, and umhoops for updates

Is there no way to know what time the elite 8 game would be on Tuesday if we advance? Most tournaments have time slots predetermined but I guess not the NCAAs? Would love to be able to set up my schedule ahead of time rather than frantically reschedule like I had to for today’s game (I’m on the west coast).

They have announced the time slots for the Regional Finals/Elite Eight: Tuesday, March 30 7PM and 9:45PM (TBS network for TV) for Michigan's side of the bracket. That has been fixed already.

Given that Gonzaga, USC, Oregon, and Creighton are the teams remaining in the West bracket, it would be a pretty good bet that the West Regional Final will get the late tip-off time.

I think they tried to add extra days for COVID-19 testing precautions--in case someone got infected with the virus traveling to the tournament or during the games in the first two rounds. There used to be only 5 days between the first and second weekends. This year they increased it to 6 days.

The trade-off is that there are fewer days between the Elite Eight and Final Four as the Final Four games are staying on Saturday. It used to be 6 or 7 days, and this year it will be 4 days for Michigan's side of the bracket if they were to make it that far.

Florida State didn't score much (24 points) in the 1st half vs. Colorado.  I hope that Michigan's defense can do that to FSU as well.

Most of FSU's points were from right near the basket.

Already Apparently we are the underdog...pretty much every talking head is picking FSU...lot of disrespect this year for us and our top seed

Between the loss of Isaiah Livers and the Big Ten massacre in the first weekend, it makes sense. I hope it fuels the team, and it has taken pressure off me as a fan for a team with a #1 seed. I feel like the team is playing with house money starting on Sunday.

I don't mind the underdog at all. Look at this year's underdog winners. Was OSU expected to lose so early-to Oral Roberts? The Loyola-Chicago win over the Illini was a shocker. There were many more.

Let Michigan be the underdog and then pull off the upset. Our guys won't be reading the glowing stuff written or said on social media, instead, about what they can't do. That should get them fired up.

Just win!

Yeah, as others have said, no Livers + Big Ten getting destroyed means very few people see us as a legitimate 1 seed.

FSU is the #14 offense and the #29 defense on KenPom.  And they just blasted KenPom #10 Colorado.  They will be a really tough game.

I bit the bullet and got tickets.  Ain't cheap and they're balcony level but figured I should take advantage of them being here.
