Wolverine that doesn't know what to do

Submitted by anup414 on

I'm sick of reading newspapers, I'm sick of watching the news. I know Michigan is better than this. McGuffie gives us great hope, but that's not enough. That game was filled of bad calls, bad fumbles and I don't even want to talk about the rest. I don't know what to say, someone is not getting our players jacked up for these games. This is MICHIGAN - NOTRE DAME. WE TAUGHT THEM HOW TO PLAY FOOTBALL! I am not saying that we should never lose, it's a game and losing happens, that's fine. I can't believe how many mistakes we made, the only thing we have to hope for is Sam McGuffie, and thank god for him. And that's not even right, we have so much talent (and so many cool fuckin names) that every single player that we talk about on this blog is just Dangerous, there isn't another fuckin word. I've seen so many Mchigan fans lose hope, because they are so accustomed to winning slash not losing, but I don't think that matters as much as we think. We don't recruit dirty (yet) and we are in a transitioning year. Let's watch as Sam McGuffie and Michael Shaw develop into great leaders and players and turn a mediocre Michigan team into the greatness they can be. It's kind of like Tom Brady, you never know the greatness some of these kids will achieve until they finish, so lets ditch our win now philosophhy and let these kids develop and turn into greatness. I HATE the USC Fight song they just keep playnig it, it's so fucking annoying, if it was a living thing I would murder it. Sorry, I'm sure you would too, it's just the truth. Go Blue. Forever, We will win 7 games this season, NO MATTER WHAT. Nothing Less.

right here I don't know what to say, someone is not getting our players jacked up for these games what is that, and what does that have to do with fumbling first two times out, and playing from behind all game?

Most of the errors were simple execution errors, indicative of either either little experience or poor coaching.. or BOTH. Rich Rod needs to go back to the drawing board with these kids, getting practicing on Sundays, and make sure they have the little things down. Regardless down years happen, we expected that this year. Calm down and go have some fun with friends. Michigan will be back in effect next year when we can have a real QB.

I love Michigan Football as much as anyone, but you need to remember that you're watching a game played by teenagers. Shit happens (today, shit happened often). It may seem like life and death during the game, but life's too short to go ape over this kinda stuff.

That's a serious question. If you are twelve, that post is understandable. If you are older than that, the I am concerned for your general well-being.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

MGoMike -- No QB that comes in the 2009 recruiting class is going to perform at an acceptable level. Thinking a true freshman will be the savior is a fools belief. Threet is showing a lot of good decision making and today he was putting the ball on the receiver. Please take the emotion down and objectively view what is taking place.

i completely agree. i had this same argument with a guy at the bar today. he was saying how tate or beaver will come in and finally we'll have our QB. yeah, right. The way Threet is progressing (and he definitely is), he will be the QB next year and will lead our squad. Now, I can see tate or beaver coming in next year for a cameo role but Threet will be our guy. it is waaaaaay too much to ask for a freshmen QB to come in and dominate. henne was one of those rare exceptions... and it didn't hurt to have a WR named Braylon Edwards who can catch basically anything that was thrown in his general vicinity.

Hey McMurphy why don't you just let Mr Martini speak ok? Kidding. MGoMike-there have been Freshman in Michigan sports that have done incredible things. The Fab 5 were scary for Freshman. Chad Henne was ok to eh! But it is a lot to ask of any freshman QB like Forcier or Beaver to come in and star in the Big 10. You have to make it work with what you have. Did RR get dealt a bad hand? No, not at all. He got dealt a bad hand for what his style is though. I would say he got dealt an average hand but not a bad one. A bad hand for what his offense needs or intends to do. That is why you see a ODOMS as a freshman at the slot. He is a spread type guy. But also Odoms is gritty as hell. But I understand where you are coming from. I think in blackjack, there comes a time when you just stop bitching about the hand your dealt and just start playing cards. When you seem victimized as a coach, your players adopt that mentality too eventually. I do not see that though in Michigan. They were in the game in some ways until the 4th and the Threet fumble.
