Swenson was told of his status months ago. He's in denial. The coaches have gone so far as to contact other schools to try and get the kid a spot elsewhere.
As I understand, the problem is more than just that Dawson took a visit to FL. He initiated contact with Florida coaches while commited to us, and the coaches apparently found out about it from someone on the FL coaching staff. Not to say we can't forgive and forget, but it's going to be difficult.
I also live in Kentwood. There were quite a few obvious non-Inksterites sporting Michigan gear on the Inkster side of the field. Hopefully there will be some other reports from other MGoBloggers that can add more insight than my limited observations.
I should also clarify that Gardner did throw at least a pair of TDs that weren't dropped. He should come out of this game with some pretty impressive stats.
You're so right! Ever since Urban Meyer brought the spread to Gainesville, Florida's program has been terrible. They can't get any good recruits, and the results on the field have been horrible. They should fire that idiot. The spread sucks!
That's odd that they're bringing it up on the radio now. This appears to be from last season, as they talk about Auburn's six game winning streak against Alabama, and Notre Dame's 3-9 season (among other things).
Spurrier pulled his offer so that they could pursue CBs. The article I read indicated he projected as a safety and South Carolina already felt they were set at safety.
I decided to try it in NCAA 2009. However, I couldn't find the setting
to maximize the abs, so my version of T-Rob might not be accurate.
Anyhow, to get to the point, playing him at QB was a disaster. If
anyone has a way to get this info to RichRod, please do so -- I'd like
to avert catastrophe.
I love Michigan Football as much as anyone, but you need to remember that you're watching a game played by teenagers. Shit happens (today, shit happened often). It may seem like life and death during the game, but life's too short to go ape over this kinda stuff.
What was the deal with the offensive line freezing (staying in their stance) on the two plays where the defense jumped offside? Clearly it was some sort of coached reaction, but I've never seen that done before. Especially the second time, it somewhat backfired, seeing as the refs didn't call the offside and the pass was incomplete?
Other than that, it seemed like many of Brian's concerns were valid. The O-Line stunk. Panter and Evans underwhelmed mightily. I didn't see much to like about either QB. I look forward to seeing someone smarter than me break it down in the UFR.
The only thing that kept us in the game was Utah's willingness to try and give the game away. Felt like we were playing Sparty for a while there.

Dupe. This is why I never post. Sorry.

Been reading since the haloscan days. This is seriously one of the most entertaining series of posts I've ever read here.
Apparently he was just offered by Auburn yesterday, which was an offer he really wanted. Looks like a great kid, but I don't like our chances.
He's had some tweets in the past about other comedy shows. Apparently he's a multi-talented dude.

I loathe Comcast as well, but it's the only option where I live (condos, so no dish). However, BTN is in HD, at least in the Grand Rapids area.

Can anyone comment on Ricardo Miller's performance? All I saw on the VarsityBlue twitter page was that he was a good blocker.

It was on haloscan.

Maybe he'll pan out at WMU, but it's seeming more and more likely the "inside source" was onto something with Dann.

My friend, if you don't UNDERSTAND the difference between being a champion and being a CHAMPION, maybe you're not really a MICHIGAN MAN.
Yeah, I don't get it either. I guess it's the "less fortunate" = dead thing. Hilarious, except I can't get past the death part.
