According to Alan Trieu, Weber's sticking with OSU. He'll deny it of course, but I'm not buying that Higdon's commit didn't affect him.

To be honest I think that was a way to make ppl think the hometown team let HIM down. I don't think it did affect him whatsoever. I think he went to the place with more appeal to him. I wish him luck that's fine, but I call bull on him blaming Higdons commitment

Dear Lord -  What the hell is going on with UCLA?  I know they have had 3 solid years in a row but they haven't even made the RoseBowl or a BCS bowl since 1998...

What gives???

Let's see, I'm a kid who is good at sports and with high likelihood not amazing at school. Where should I go? A place with warm sunny weather and amazing looking women? A place that just won the national championship? Either of these two choices, and many more like it with a school optional approach? Or do I go to a place where no one will cut me slack if I can't keep up in school, where the winters bury me alive, and the expectations remain at a level set when I was just born even though we haven't been good in a decade. It's a tough choice for sure!

Kids with a super high narcissistic ego like Clark usually end up either flaming out, or more rarely becoming elite stars.  I dont think Michigan is gonna miss not having him on the roster.

I think the class ranking system needs some tweaking. Before these last 2 commits, UofM had 4 ESPN top 300 commits, but was ranked dead last in the Big Ten rankings and outside the overall top 40. Meanwhile, Rutgers top recruit overall is the #25 DE overall, not player overall. How is that better than a class that includes Alex Malzone, Grant Newsome, Bryan Mone, etc??? Size of class is given too much weight. Just means you didn't have much attrition that offseason with graduation and the like and have more upperclassmen on your depth chart. Not a bad thing.

In hindsight... And I'm thrilled that we got Harbaugh... But at least for recruiting purposes, Jim Mora Jr. would've been an OUTSTANDING backup plan.
