National Championship Game Video Dump
Hi. You may be experiencing a tide of listlessness as the adrenaline pumping of the last few weeks subsides and takes its toll. We are there with you, glassily staring into nothing for minutes at a time. Absentmindedly putting mango habanero salsa on potato pancakes. Sweeping the same spot on the floor for a half hour. That kind of stuff. You're probably trying to add the word "butt" to a column of numbers in Excel. That's what I'd be doing if I had to have Excel open, anyway.
Instead I'm staring out at the rain, because I don't have to have Excel open, and typing this fairly poor excuse for things for people to read. Here are some things that MGoVideo thinks you may be interested in from Monday's game. The best is the Albrechtining:
Boggle.
And the infamous call on the block:
This is seriously one of the sadest pictures I have ever seen. I just...just can't

...not just a block." Amen, brother. Amen

Will not watch. Just brings sadness.

Spike's 4th three still brings out the same emotion as when I saw it live. It is simply unbelieveable.
And then there's the block......

I never wanted to be an officiating complainer, but after that game I just can't help myself. I'm sure I'll snap out of it before football season. Everytime I see the clip of Burke's block my blood pressure starts going up, and I want to strangle anyone who is a referee in any sport.

As a show of respect, I just added the word "butt" at the end of a column of housing prices in the Los Angeles metro area.

Listless is the perfect word. It's like, I'm not upset, obviously, we were in the freaking national championship game. Yet the magic of our run, with it being over, is just. I feel like a husk of a person for the time being and I have to wait all the way until late August before I can get my Michigan fix (football, of course).
Of course, I keep thinking about Burke's beautiful block. It enrages me that they got that call wrong. Would we have won? Who knows, but every scenario in which we do win because Burke blocked the ball has been running through my head since the game ended. Also there were two blown goaltending calls on Louisville that would've given us 4. Ugh.. Just... *le sigh*
Brian and Ace, it's like you guys have known exactly what to say and when to say it the last 36 hours. I didn't think I wanted to watch the videos at first, but I came back and did (except the block, not ready yet, actually glad the gif has slid down the front page now).
They made me smile as I realized how much fun the last 3 weeks were, and how much I love this team.
I am utterly without list, i.e., listless.
Is an appropriate word to use in discussing the aftermath of that game.
with ridiculous handle, could shoot, tough as nails, nuts hung to the floor, had great college career, solid nba career and a pretty good nba coach - Scott Skiles. I have a feeling spike is not going to lay down and hand over the PG spot to anyone.
Let's not be putting Spike in the NBA off of one great half. He's gone from emergency minutes guy to back up to possibly taking starter minutes without us saying "OMG we're screwed" but let's not get nuts and give him a decade in the league just yet.
*Yes, he probably was given a couple of inches in his listing. Spike probably is too then.
is Albrecht's third when NO ONE from Louisville was within 15 feet of him after he had already hit his first two.
Hard loss to take because winning would have felt so awesome. But man this is my favorite Michigan basketball team by a mile.

...was the heat-check he threw up after the game on Twitter. That thing was from deep.
Personally, I bonded with this team more than any Michigan basketball team since the '76 squad. Fantastic season and a team I will have nothing but fond memories of.
