HTTV 2020: Belated, But On
So: we're going to do it. We pulled the trigger on actually doing this shortly after Michigan announced they'd be bringing players back to campus, and then a spate of positive COVID tests for CFB players spooked us further. This is way behind our usual production schedule. So:
We cannot guarantee you will get your physical copy before the season. Everyone will get an electronic version by mid-July. We think most people will get their copies by mid-August, but the printer could be delayed, the mail might take longer.
I know this sucks. We've added an electronic-only option, which costs the same but does not have shipping costs.
Anyway, on with the show:
THE ONLY MICHIGAN PREVIEW MAGAZINE WITH CRAIG ROSS IS BACK
128 pages, approximately 120 of which are jam-packed with relevant text. No ads, no filler, no stuff we already published. In addition to the usual comprehensive team preview by myself and the usual profile of the schedule by Ace Anbender, et al.--guaranteed to be 50% accurate about who Michigan is playing this year!--are the following feature articles:
[After THE JUMP: this is what's called a teaser]
TWISTED BLUE STEEL
Dilithium Vitae: A profile of Denard Robinson, by Adam Schnepp
Mystery Surprise: Something from a person or two whom Vox should not have made available to us.
TECHNICAL DOSSIER
Adjusting Speed in Space: What happened to Michigan's offense half-way through Penn State? by Seth Fisher
When Will the Nightmare End: How modern defenses are slowing Ohio State's offense without Ohio State's talent, by Ian Boyd
TALES FROM OLD BLUE
Roses That Bloomed in the Snow: The 1950 Snow Bowl, by Dr. Sap
Old '98 and a Wet Paper Bag: Tom Harmon and the 1940 season, by Greg Dooley

THE SHIRT
This year's shirt pays tribute to the old Ypsi-Arbor Bowl sign:
The Photobomb shirt or a selection of our other popular shirts is available.
This issue, this season will be interesting
The issue yes, for sure.
The season? I sure hope it's interesting cause that means we're having one.
Texas just announced 27% of their team (according to Darell Rovell) tested positive for Covid-19. Not great Bob. Not great at all.
could be great. assuming nobody is waylaid by it then the team will have had it and be past it. i hope michigan has similar numbers, and of course no bad outcomes.
What an ignorant thing to say. You "hope" a quarter of Michigan's team gets a virus we don't even fully understand yet? We're not even sure getting it once makes people immune. I certainly hope as few players as possible get it.
not what i said, in context. they showed up with it not something they had to go and 'get'. also, undoubtedly they were all asymptomatic or had gotten over it. those are all great outcomes, the best of outcomes, and the more people that ultimately have those outcomes is also great. we all worry of course that there is no guarantee even with the young that outcome will be achieved, but to have that many having already successfully come through it is great news.
I would think testing positive for Covid and having absolutely zero symptoms would generally be a very good thing.
Great news!
Any chance the shirt is being made by Homefield?
Two practical questions (never ordered before and couldn't find answers after a few minutes of googling):
- What's the photobomb shirt / what other shirts will be available? The stuff in the store, something else?
- If I am ordering >1 copy of the book, can I have my copies shipped to multiple destinations?
For the new guys. Here is the thread detailing said photobomb.
Let us wade tepidly into the waters of optimism!
Tepidly? You must be new
To be clear, this in reference to collegiate football and the likelihood of it taking place.
I’m also ordering for the first time for a delayed Father’s Day present for my dad and am wondering what the difference is between just getting one vs two books. Apologize if I missed that in the description
Sweet cover
Hail Yes ! I'm in
An article on Denard? Sign me up
Obligatory
Will there be words from BiSB on Rutger?
Approximately 1,400 of them.
It would hardly be comprehensive without a serious breakdown of our top rival.
Been here a long time and have always felt guilty about not ponying up some cash for all the enjoyment I get from this awesome site. Super excited to be in a spot this year to back this!!
Sweet!!! I've been wanting an electronic only version! Can't wait to get my grubby cyberpaws on this shiny new object!
I always get mine through the MGoStore because it always gets funded. Will that still work?
Thanks, guys, for all you do! Gonna get my annual Wolverine football fix after all. Woot!
Will there be a basketball section? Or a different mag? Or...
Thanks.
