Michigan scored one fewer goals in the 3rd period as Quinnipiac, and 4 more goals in the other two periods. I'll not be taking questions. On to Boston in the springtime.

And you can't have one without the other.

Not taking questions.

Wow, not sure why Quinnipiac pulled their goalie with 4 minutes left.  They were dominating the period, then empty net goal and it’s over.

Michigan lost games like this in 00 to Denver and 05 to Colorado College. Michigan has been mugged by flukes and by stupid stuff. Michigan has had FF berths ripped away by bad refs and bad ice and OT and more OT.

So there was an ugly bit there. Life is a roller coaster. This game kinda mirrored my day. And you know what? You don’t win a title without some drama in a game or two or three. So, here’s one.

The scoreboard says Michigan wins.

Two wins to go.

Man, Michigan teams are certainly piling up the muppet-worthy wins!

Ugly, shaky, scary - but they did it! Frozen Four!

Keep going, boys - let's win this thing!

Go Blue!

You know how after a tough loss you can't stop thinking "What if? What if?" no matter how hard you try?

This is the first time after a tough win I can't stop thinking "What if? What if?" no matter how hard I try.

That was some crazy shit.

Shake it off.  On to Boston!

I'll never take a frozen four for granted. Given the randomness of the tournament, I've always thought frozen fours were a better measure than actual titles of a programs success and 26 frozen fours is a lot of success. Here's to two more wins

(and if you'd be so kind, try not to nearly blow a 4 goal lead again)

edit: and just realized this means Michigan has the most frozen fours of any program again. 26 to BCs 25 and then North Dakota and BU at 22

That was definitely a terrifying game, but after reflecting for a bit I realized thus far in 12 tournament games that only 4 have ended with a 2+ goal win. Michigan has 2 of the 4. Wild way to get to Boston but I think any of us would enthusiastically take that over OT terror any day
