AJ Henning Has Committed To Michigan Comment Count

JJ McCarthy's favorite slot receiver has joined the fold:

Henning is another Speed In Space slot receiver, ranked 80th on the composite. 24/7 doesn't have a separate category for slots but as a rough approximation only four guys ranked ahead of him are listed at under six feet tall.

Henning is Michigan's Nth commitment in the last week, following those from NJ S Jordan Morant, CO OL Reece Attebery, CA OL Jeffrey Persi, NJ DE Aaron Lewis, NY LB William Mohan, and MA WR Eamonn Dennis. PA RB Gaige Garcia is coming in as a wrestling/football dual sport guy as well. That makes for 8 of the 10 commits Matt Dudek has posted about. MD RB Blake Corum, who is set to announce tomorrow, is almost certainly one of the two remaining. The last guy is a bit of a mystery.

That seems like it has no basis. Unless you know something for real you want to share with the class.

If Evans was going to transfer, I doubt he would even have appealed and would be trying to get in the good graces and spend a year at UM not playing instead of just spending that year off with his new future team practicing and learning the playbook.

Some of the other prospects to receive Michigan crystal balls on Sunday were Kalel Mullings (4 star OLB Comp#107) and Makari Paige (4 star S Comp#222).  Both of them received a burst of crystal balls in favor of the good guys.

Where is this narrative coming from? I've seen it a few times already. Paige got one Crystal Ball this weekend on his official visit to OSU and it was Wiltfong going from Michigan to cloudy. He's trending away from Michigan with Morant on board and Malcolm Greene and RJ Moten having Michigan in their top group.

I saw Gallon playing catch with a bunch of random kids after one of the games one year while he was on the team but I believe before UTL.  Super cool guy to play with a bunch of fans/kids. He was like 5'7 max.   I'm 5'  8 5/8"  and I had a good couple of inches on him.   (You know if someone is listing their height to the eighth of an inch they notice how tall people are.)

LFG! Speed in space! Keep helping reel em in JJ. He and Sainristil on the field together will be a problem for defenses the next few years. Let’s hope the JJ to AJ connection becomes becomes a legendary one at UM. Go Blue!

Unfortunately I think it’ll be too much to ask for him to come back for his senior year. If he even has a decent year, he gone. He’s too much of a physical freak and will test so well at the combine he won’t go lower than the first 3 rounds even if he only finishes the year with like 40 catches.

Nice.  Welcome AJ.

Pretty cool that JJ McCarthy is helping to get guys in the class ahead of him.  Maybe he can time travel and change up our 2013 O-line class.

AJ changed the banner on his twitter account this last week to him in #3 Mich uni. While certainly a great piece of news officially, anyone who didn't already know this was a done deal isn't really paying attention. Throw in the fact that all the heavy hitters in the UMich recruiting trail already had a CB for him, or put one in this last weekend, made this all but official already. Still great to hear, and this kid is the definition of quick twitch. Slippery and quick cut elusive, and fast as ...  Denard 2.0 but playing slot?
