Alex mentioned this in his gamer and on Twitter, but there's always one conference game per year that is extremely non-memorable. This was... probably that game for 2022. Seth and Bryan mentioned Maryland Amnesia in previous years (this year's Maryland game was, uh, eventful). But this game was... fine? I had fun. But as I got back through my photos I keep thinking "oh yeah" to things I will forget about in a few days. Just a routine day of generic beat-down football.
Several people pointed to last year's Indiana game as a parallel to this Nebraska game, including myself. I genuinely cannot remember 99% of that game. It was a night game and people were very much annoyed about it being a night game in November. I think there were a lot of media timeouts. Oh and Haskins hurdled a fool.
Not only that but Indiana attempted to hurdle a fool. It did not go well.
If we're going to parallel last year's Indiana game then we must talk about the one thing that will be remembered and that is an attempted hurdle that didn't just not go well. It went so poorly that the hurdler was helmet dong-punched into the press box.
Immediately afterwards I got about 3-4 texts asking if I got this shot. Well here you go. Hans Moleman Productions would be proud.
Anyways that just about summarizes this game, Michigan outgained a bad Nebraska 412-146 and Michigan covered the biggest point spread in known Nebraska history. Now it's just the unknown Nebraska history we need to worry about.
Sponsor Note: Ok, well we don't have a sponsor.
BUT
If you'd like to support us, one of the simplest things you can do is follow us on social media (links just below) where we post way more photos than here. In the offseason I also do a LOT of wildlife/national park photography. While we're not allowed to sell any of our sports photos per our credential agreement (sorry to anyone who reached out asking about one), I sell prints from my adventures which I sell on FineArtAmerica. You can buy prints (or just look at some pretty pictures) here: Patrick Barron Art Collections

Was really hoping there were some photos with the hurdle and this horrified Nebraska coach in the background.

Do not try to make a fool of Sainristil. He ain’t your fool. He ain’t nobody’s fool.

Great stuff. Thanks.

I was glad the second player caught him. If it couldn't be his mama. Because I assumed he needed her at that stage. I mean, my nuts still hurt from watching that one, and unless he has a better set of retractors than I do, I assume he's still limping. My wife was horrified, and she can be pitiless.

I was just glad he didn’t break his neck. As much as I enjoyed Haskins hurdling players last year — especially the one he hurdled in stride against this very team — the failed hurdle seems really, really dangerous.

How not to hurdle an opponent.

Apparently my album was only displaying 58 photos in Flickr but it should be accurate now (122 total).
Everyone go click on it again.

I get this same look when I tell people Chick-Fil-A is overrated. Which it is.
100% co-sign. Popeyes FTW.

Putting my request in now for @BiSB to do another record-scratch "Yep, that's me" photo montage with the "I have made poor choices" hurdle.
I bet you're wondering how I got here.
It all started when I got in my head that hurdling Mike Sainristil would be a good idea.

PS Just scan the crowd for some of the reactions (can I help it if "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" is playing in my head for some reason?):
