META: Avatar upload malfunction
I have been trying to change my avatar picture for about 20 minutes now. I have been careful to resize the picture to less than 85x85 pixels and I have tried to upload in both JPEG and BMP formats. I have shrunk the picture to the point of near-incoherence and it will still not upload. Even when I tried to upload my old picture the site kept giving me the same error message:
- The selected file /tmp/doomguy4_1.JPG could not be uploaded, because the destination sites/mgoblog.com/files/pictures/picture-21254.jpg is not properly configured.
- Failed to upload the picture image; the pictures directory doesn't exist or is not writable.
To the tech specialists out there: Please advise so I can show you guys my awesome MS Paint skillz. Thanks in advance for your helpful, non-snarky responses.

I'm not sure why the last part is still getting caught in the blockquote. Sorry guys, I've been doing chemistry from sunup to sundown and I need help.

Maybe you should lay off the chemicals, if you know what I mean.
haha

Brian said that the Avatar upload isn't working and I doubt that it's a top priority for him right now.

......says the guy with the entertaining kararoo avatar with all it's junk hanging out for the rest of the MGoWorld to see.

yeah i would guess that fixing the avatar upload is low on Brian's "things to do" list.
Did he ever find out who exactly F'up the site with the malware? And was that person outed? I missed it if he did.

Well we know it wasn't someone from MSU because they would rather just steal the computers than screw around with software.

So we can also scratch Cam Newton and Jeremiah Masoli off the list?
Just an FYI I think this is fixed now. I just uploaded my avatar.
