OK, maybe I'm just weird, but this whole "OMG yet another place used the same extremely obvious line that is in the MGoBlog tagline" thing reminds me of an incident from back in the early days of the MGoBoard.  WolvinLA2 started off by using the Crable pwns Quinn picture for his avatar, and then starting calling out every n00b that also tried to use that picture for their avatar.  Which was fruitless, because it was an extremely obvious picture that was constantly taken by new users.  Eventually he switched to his current unique avatar and the problem solved itself.

Not that I think Brian needs to change his tagline, because having a unique tagline doesn't serve any purpose the same way having a unique avatar makes a particular user's posts easily identifiable.  But it's going to keep getting copied as long as its an obvious play on a common phrase.  Trying to say other places "copied" it serves no purpose.

I am sick and tired of all these posters claiming someone stole the "Hoke springs eternal" from MGoBlog.  As referenced earlier in this thread, making the connection is not hard and just because someone else uses it doesn't mean they didn't come up with it on their own.

So to finally put it to rest, SURPRISE its has been used well before Brian ever has

Whoa whoa... That's not the only thing he copied. He repeatedly uses the word "the" which also happens to appear in MGoBlog's signature and many times in every post from Brian or Tim...

...Rittenberg is a madman plagiarizer and must be stopped!!!

...I keep buying the rights to the less obvious puns, like Cowhoke™.  I think I will also take Hokémon™ now, thank you.

Hoke that we can take Al of the gorgeous themes in this thread and Brady them together into one rugged Matt.  If we can coordinate that effort, we may no longer be Rich but at least we'll have a wealth of puns.

That sure took a lot of Hart to write.  We have come such a Long way, putting many Miles on our collective Carr.  Hopefully, Borges can Taylor the offense to fit Denard's skills and doesn't have to Forcier his style on anyone too much.
