“I already knew what I shouldn’t have done back two years ago,” he said.
You're systematically rewriting the English language. Congrats.

January 3rd, 2011 at 6:54 PM ^
Shouldn't you be watching game film for the game tomorrow TP. I mean I know you're that much gooder than all of Arkansas team but I'm just curious.
January 3rd, 2011 at 7:33 PM ^
I want a G*ddamn liter-a-cola.

Me fail English? That's unpossible.
January 3rd, 2011 at 7:30 PM ^
Is there any situation where a Ralph Wiggum quote wouldn't be appropriate? I cannot think of any.
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:30 PM ^
Neways its good to have you around, I read Neways like 5x before I go it.
January 3rd, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
Pryor unwitting? There's a headline.
January 3rd, 2011 at 6:29 PM ^
I can't fix it in Edit...not sure what is going on. If a mod can fix it, that would be great.

Player A has crappy car.
Player A goes to dealership.
Dealership: "This car's muffler isn't performing properly, we're going to analyze it. Use this new 2010 Lexus while we do."
Car sits for 2 months while Player A utilizes car.
Dealership: "We can't figure out the problem. Drive it for a little while and come back if it 'acts up' again."
Player A drives car for 2 weeks.
Player A takes crappy car back to dealership
Dealership: "Damn, thing's still not fixed. Well we're going to analyze it. Use this new 2010 F150 while we do."
January 3rd, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
right?
January 3rd, 2011 at 6:43 PM ^

January 3rd, 2011 at 6:48 PM ^
I want to drive my 1989 dodge dakota to that dealership for some work done on it.

Like money in campaign contributions (no, this is not a political comment - only an analogy), benefits/money for certain players (like TP) will flow like water; it (whatever it is) gets to the desired destination (player) one way or the other. This comment is a good illustration of the principle.
Double analogy actually.
January 3rd, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
That "double analogy" line pushes it almost political, though not partisan (which is what's really bad).
/end politics thread police schtick

...And just like fighting through a high screen or defending the slant and go, there is a right way to get arrested and a wrong way. 1. MAKE SURE YOU DON’T SUCK Before you go out and start committing crimes, it’s important to first make sure you’re at least slightly better than the 30 or 40 guys the team’s assistant GM could instantly pull off some practice squad to replace you. Otherwise you will become fodder for the team’s zero-tolerance discipline policy...Fortunately, compared to Joe Bauserman, TP doesn't "suck".
January 3rd, 2011 at 6:43 PM ^
Isn't this the exact same shit Maurice Clarett was doing? Nice to see some things never change.
January 3rd, 2011 at 6:51 PM ^
That was a really funny article. Wetzel can make some good points at times.
January 3rd, 2011 at 7:34 PM ^
When Wetzel isn't stopping every 15 seconds to pat himself on the back for being just so goshdurn smart, he can actually be a very good journalist.

Based on his personailty, the locker room would have imploded in the 2008 season. I don't think we would have crumbled to 3-9 (maybe 5-7 or 6-6) but he would have been a nightmare to deal with.
We saw, with RichRod's D, that even having a Silver Football winner led us to only 7-6.
In hindsight, the "not getting Pryor" scenario did little to lead to RichRod's departure. We would have won maybe 4-5 more games total over three years. What's the difference between 15-22 and 20-17?
Any azzwipe who sells his Yellow Pants is pissing yellow on the traditions of Archie Griffin, Chris Spielman, and others. Guys I hate for being Buckeyes but RESPECT.
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:51 PM ^
Maybe more wins in the first season, leading to better defensive recruiting, leading to some young but slightly experienced secondary depth this season making us competitive defensively and giving our offense some time to play without trying to cary the team. Or, our program could be facing massive TPryor violations instead of fluffed up practice time scandals, leading to our program being decimated. I guess I'm glad we aren't them, even if we aren't what I wish we were.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
TP might have made a nice addition to our defense after Shoelace took over this year.
January 3rd, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
...the mark with this one. The key to the article is that OSU keeps trying to put the lid on the shenanigans, and TP keeps pulling it off. Basically, his sense of entitlement is so strong, he thinks he can say or do anything and get away with it.
Sad thing is, he's probably right.
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
Totally agree. This kid has more athletic ability than most of us can probably dream about, but he is completely delusional. I keep thinking of Herbie's radio comments about how he's been told he can do anything his whole life and no one has ever pulled him aside to say he's not a special as he thinks he is. I have every confidence that OSU won't be the one to educate him (wouldn't be their first failure in that department).
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:13 PM ^
If anybody can find a link to the Buckeye team presser at the Sugar Bowl, please post it. Watch what Pryor has to say about their promise to return next year. It sounds like he's lining up excuses for either himself or others who have already made plans to break that promise. Boom was scheduled to be at the presser today but replaced by Zach Boren at the last minute, apparently. The guys on 1460 in Columbus were trashing Pryor for what he said about the promise and speculating that he is referring to at least Boom in regard to breaking it.
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
Is he high or just terminally dumb?
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:58 PM ^
Trick question?
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:00 PM ^
He's an idiot, but he's our idiot.

Gordon Gee, William Jennings Bryan, William Taft, George Custer, Warren Harding. All great Ohioans, all idiots.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:30 PM ^
Thanks.
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:38 PM ^
All respect for OSU is officially gone. They are a wannabe SEC team in Big Ten clothing.
Seriously, this is just disgusting.
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
At least we didn't stretch excessively!
January 3rd, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
I'm sure they know a thing or two about tightening up down there in Columbus.
January 3rd, 2011 at 11:13 PM ^

January 3rd, 2011 at 9:01 PM ^
I live in Ohio and know a former D-1 college assistant with connections to former and current OSU coaches. He says this is the tip of the ice berg with the Bucks and seems to think they could be in a lot of trouble.
Who knows? I just really think (as we all do) that all schools cheat and it's just the ones who are good at who win games.
January 3rd, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
video was actually tough to watch.
January 3rd, 2011 at 11:09 PM ^
He even responded to criticism by former Buckeye quarterback and current ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit by mocking, “Has he beat Michigan?” (OSU went 0-4-1 against UM during Herbstreit’s career).
I thought this was the best part, dogging his alumni and former player. Nice, very classy!
