Si.com has a good concept but poor read on favorite calls of all time. The author lumps his favorite college football calls together into one category because, "College football calls are so personal. They mean SO MUCH to the team’s fans, and SO LITTLE to everyone else." That's so stupid, becasue that could be said about any sport with a hometeam, but I digress.

What's your favorite U of M call? Either radio or TV..."Hello Heisman!" "Shades of Desmond Howard" Something from Bob Ufer?

On a personal note, I loved it when I was a kid and Musberger would open NFL Today with "You are looking at live..." He'll still do that for the big college games he announces, and i love it, even if he's losing it.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH JACKSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From the perfect* game by Galarraga.

Rod Allens random outbursts when great things happen are usually pretty good. Don't know about the rest of his commentary though.

"And the Tigers are GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!" after my favorite home run moment ever from Magglio. (got chills thinking about that one).

Pretty much any Gus Johnson call because he is so excited about everything I can't help but laugh.

even though it was a UM drop..

The play in the '09 ND game where Savoy dropped the pass before Mathews' winner...

The Mathews' call was great.. but it was something about the way McDonough said "Dropped" on the Savoy play that stuck with me.. maybe b/c it was so heartbreaking right before pure joy... but I've never seen a dropped pass called with such passion.

It really was good.

has to be Vin Scully calling the '88 series when Gibson homered... "she is ... gone!"

Much better than the Jack Buck call.. "I don't believe what I just saw".  Good but not Vin good.

I loved Scully's quote right after the call when Gibby was done circling the bases.  This is a really good video and has Scully's build up narrative about Gibby's injury.  Nobody does it better. 10 minutes, but worth it.

Honorable mention for Buck in game 6 of the 1991 World Series when Puckett homered off Liebrandt in extra innings:  "we'll see ya tomorrow night."

Did anybody ever do a pregame show better than the old NFL Today crew in the 80s?  Musburger was the man and the opening where they'd go stadium to stadium was the best I agree.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyuogmnonyc  Jackson's call referring to Bo after the Charles Woodson pass to Griese in 1997 at Wisconsin. It is about 20 seconds after the play.

Against Western, he gets the ball, jukes, takes off and at the exact moment he splits two defenders and speeds past them the announcer (forget who) says "look at the speed!" It was an awesome call and indicative of the future.

Everytime I watch the "Game winning touchdowns" video on YouTube it gives me the chills. All are great calls. My favorite announcer is Dan Miller for the Detroit Lions radio. I know, there have been so many great ones in Detroit, but as for me being in the younger generation,  Ilike the guy.

Of course you have to give credit to Jim Brandstatter too, my other favorite.

edit: How could I forget

"Goes for three.... GOT IT!"

I'm surprised neither of these from Keith Jackson have been said;

"The Rose Bowl: The Granddaddy of them All"

"The Big House"

I know they aren't "calls" but those are surely iconic phrases coming from the press box.  And that doesn't happen nowadays.

Two minutes and twenty five seconds remaining. It's a cliffhanger here from Ann Arbor. A barnburner, call it what you will. Wide to the right is Bo Rather. Taylor deep, Seyfreth close. Cipa under center on a balanced line. Cipa rolls out to the right pitches  out to Taylor. Taylor's down to the 15, 10 ,5  TOUCHDOWN BILLY TAYLOR. The crowd goes berserk.
