Sparty stole my furniture
I have lived in the neighborhood just west of the stadium for 8 years, I went to get my mail today and realized that all of our furniture on our front porch had been stolen including our door mat. We rarely use our front door so I did not notice it on Sunday (probably because I was sleeping my hangover off on the couch all day), sometime between 2 am and 7 am. Sparty fan grabbed my wicker couch, chair, table, pumpkin, door mat and a flower pot off my porch. I am assuming my stuff is queued up to be burned in East Lansing as I type this but still can not believe it happened. I guess when I replace it I will add some attractive metal chains to prevent this from happening again. Thanks Sparty, you stay classy.

I'm sorry, how do you know it was Sparty that did it? Just no. Stop it.

And just so went missing the weekend after state beats us and all of the bros are here.

How do we do a +/- 0?
October 11th, 2010 at 11:24 PM ^
Not to defend Sparty, but we often had stuff stolen from the front of our house on Elm St., and I doubt the thiefs were students from rival schools.
October 11th, 2010 at 11:32 PM ^
It could have been anybody that stole it, I just thought it might be humorous if I blamed sparty, I am just pissed that it happened. Sparty or not I should be able to live close to the stadium and not worry about my personal property. After 8 years of being here this is the first instance of anything negative happening so I am going to blame sparty. I love where I live and would never move because I would not trade the 6-7 days we play at home, it just sucks that I have to deal with stuff like this. And who takes a door mat, that has to be sparty. Go Blue!

Take comfort in the fact that your furniture will go to the chronically unemployed.
October 12th, 2010 at 12:20 AM ^
Maybe it was the city? Isn't porch furniture on the verge of becoming illegal?
October 12th, 2010 at 12:23 AM ^
I'm no constitutional scholar, but I'm pretty sure the city can't take personal property located on your porch because it's on the "verge of becoming illegal."
October 12th, 2010 at 1:15 AM ^
If I remember correctly, they just passed a porch couch ban.
October 12th, 2010 at 8:28 AM ^
Boy, am I glad I got all of my porch-couch drinking done before they passed this one.
October 13th, 2010 at 11:51 PM ^
even if it were illegal, they couldn't just take it. It's illegal for you to be parked in a handicapped spot, but if you still decide to park there, you won't come back and find out they took your car, right? They just slap a hefty ticket down. Punishment has to fit the crime.
Also, 4th Amendment, and search and seizure without warrants and all that. Constitutional scholar ftw.

Sparty drove to Ann Arbor with a U-Haul truck?
October 12th, 2010 at 9:53 AM ^
They stoled a Uhaul truck from AA to haul the furniture they stoled from the porch back to Yeast Yamswing, so they could burn it all together....

Never seen South U as trashed as it was Saturday night. State fans are some of the worst human beings on the planet.

The parking lot at Pioneer was epically trashed as well.

Do wicker couches burn easier?
October 12th, 2010 at 12:41 AM ^
They are made out of wicker, which is like straw. I imagine a wicker chair would go up in flames like a Roman candle.

I am sorry about your furniture, but your title made me laugh uncontrollably for about a minute. And this is no laughing matter.

Now it is a laughing matter -- should've said slightly charred ...

Created a few min ago. I call shenannigans on this. But funny, nonetheless!!!!!

Although, this seems like a funny thing to do. If taken seriously, I wouldn't want the cops investigating alleged sale of stolen goods.
The mods are ON tonight!

I think ICP fans would have a right to be pissed at being associated with MSU. And, while their, uh, "methods" might leave a little to be desired, they were right on about Tila Tequila.
The clips of this incident on CNN were actually funny, knowing that no animals were hurt in filming.
