Carvin in leg brace, crutches
Saw Carvin Johnson and Richard Ash walking along South U. yesterday (heading east; right in front of the president's house).
Ash was easily identifiable (was wearing a #54 shirt). Carvin was a bit more difficult; face looked exactly like him, and his general build matched.
Anyway, the point of this post was in the subject line: Carvin was in a full leg brace, and was on crutches. I don't think this is cause for great concern or anything - as a precautionary measure it matches with what we know of his injury.
Still, I thought I'd pass it along.

he could be out "a few weeks", but hopefully with Barwis it's more like one or two. We need him, so I hope for speedy recovery also.

...after watching Brock Mealer's walk yesterday I have an even greater faith in the abilities of the rehabilitation team and S & C at Michigan.

Oh Angry Michigan Secondary Hating Gods, will you never be appeased?
[EDIT Relax. It's a joke. I'm sure CJ will recover and return to play.]

Takes safeties, not spurs. He's a very particular guy!

But does Ash look like he lost any weight in camp?
But in order to not be a total douche, I'll extend well wishes to Carvin. I really do wish him a speedy recovery, I was very impressed that a freshman was able to claim a starting spot within three weeks. Really impressive kid.

No idea - no frame of reference. Is a big dude.

Hopefully, Barwis has had a month or two with him. And after Saturday (Brock walking) everyone should know nothing is impossible with Barwis.

Look forward to the first "I saw player x yesterday on South Quad, wearing a full body cast and being pushed around in a stolen wheelchair!" post.
