Not much of an article, but apparently Pryor said he is definitely planning on staying in '11. It's not surprising, given the uncertainty in the NFL after this season and Pryor's lack of NFL-quality play so far in his career, but it is interesting nonetheless.

This means you don't have to root for him to be good-enough-to-jump-to-the-NFL-but-only-when-not-playing-Michigan--you can just root for him to be bad. (or, if you are even more extreme, you can root for him to get injured, but that's not very nice.)

good, I don't mind seeing another year of arm punts in CBus. He helps that team/offense more than he helps it. show me an OSU QB that can actually throw darts and I'll be worried.

Thanks to this blog, I have gone from not givings a rats ass about Terrell Pryor, to rooting for the kid.

Dee Hart better choose Michigan or the blog's wrath will be worse than Cleveland's for Lebron

... Until they give him a first round draft projection. BTW i fully support his decision to go pro a year early. Id love to see him finish his OSU career with a loss to michigan.

as soon as the NFL shows him the money regarless if he can pass or not.  I'm sure Jim T. and the OSU staff will have him ready for the NFL.  After all, that is what OSU promised TP.  Hey grass eater how's that pro set, I mean spread, I mean pro set working out for you at OSU?

in the NFL.  Aside from believing that most everybody engages in serious felony conduct on the regular, I stand almost alone on this blog as one who think that Terrell Pryor is going to be one hell of a college quarterback for at least this year, and apparently for two (though I don't give pre-season declarations as to future decisions much weight).  I think that Tressel keeping him in more of a pro-set will greatly benefit him, and I think that he started to become very accurate both standing still and on the go at about the Penn State game, and picked Oregon apart the entire game.  I think Pryor is good, will get better, and will be a solid pro QB.

has a nice story on this.  In brief:

If Pryor can bring that kind of hardware [i.e., a National Championship] back to Columbus in January, Ohio Stadium will send him off on the spot with a jubilant ticker-tape parade. Until then, the horse has to come before the cart.

If there's one thing we've seen, it's never underestimate the egos of the front offices in pro sports. A few examples:

Russel - has all the tools, canon arm... I can make him a QB!

Tebow - no one ever taught him how to throw a football, if I teach him, I can make him a QB!

VY - great athlete, I'm sure I can make him a QB!

It goes beyond football too. People see the potential in athletes and just think... huh, he didn't work out there, but he didnt have me coaching him! I can make him a great player! (see the fact that Darko just signed for $20M)

Someone will snap Pryor up with a pick to try their hand at coaching him up. He's too talented not to.

I just said they'll get picked. Maybe saying he'll "Play" QB in the NFL was the wrong word to use. Saying he'll be "drafted to play QB" would have been the sentiment of what I was saying.

The easiest example I can think of is NBA, you can be 7ft tall, suck at hoops, and get paid millions. Look at Thabeet - he is not an NBA player (currently) but words like "Potential" "tools" "needs coaching" just scream "DRAFT ME!" to execs/coaches and their egos.
