Michigan is showing a 936 for football, no penalties listed. Shouldn't be any surprise that Northwestern leads the Big Ten with 986. The Huskers fit right in with a 950.

Should we start calling ourselves TUoM so we can be as cool as them?

I think we should go with A University of Michigan. That would move us to the top of the list.

Numerals are generally placed before letters when alphabetizing.. How about "1 University of Michigan"?

When using an ASCIIbetical ordering (which most computers use), special characters come before numbers. The first displayable character in ASCII (other than Space, which usually is either disallowed or ignored) is actually "!". Therefore, I recommend "!University of Michigan".
An EECS friend of mine used this trick for a long time on Facebook - he added a "!" to the start of his last name, so whenever someone looked at their friends list he would be at the top. It worked until they caught it and "fixed" his name for him.
Wouldn't that make us "Not University of Michigan"? That's definitely not the direction I want to go.
!(!(University of Michigan))
They have to emphasize the 'the'; it wouldn't be right to emphasize 'university'.
The The... I used to love those guys...

Golf players can compete professionally while on the team, can't they? I'm assuming that explains why we haven't lost a couple.
they can compete in professional tournaments AS AMATEURS, but not for money. For instance, Michigan's own Lion Kim will be competing in the 2011 Master's for having won the US Amateur Public Links last month.

Alabama's golf team has a 994 out of 1000 and is only in the 80-90% range. I think golfers tend to stay in school.
No more weird calculations...just look it up on the website database-
