Babcock says Modano to Wings Inevitable

Babcock seems to think that Modano will sign for two years and retire as a Wing....We'll see what happens.
Modano is one of the greats...coming home to retire at home would be ideal.
not much is in the article, just an opinion piece. I also believe he will become a Red Wing. I think he is good for 40-50 points, solid penalty killing, and elite leadership. For that, it is a no brainer
a couple days ago. Babcock says it's his intuition, not inside info.
This is not over yet and I feel the longer it goes on, the less likely he is to sign with the Wings. I would love to see him play for a year or two with Detroit, but I'm not going to bet the house on it because of the coach's feelings.
also had intuition on Nicky Lidstrom resigning. Take it FWIW but if he's been talking to him about his plans this week, it should indicate how well the talks went on Monday or Tuesday or whatever it was.
Or does it seem like since the mid 90's superstars are required to play for the Wings, Rangers or Flyers right before they retire.
I wish he would buy the Stars from Tom Hicks and do to them what Super Mario did with the Penguins. I said "I wish" and one is certainly allowed to do that right?
Otherwise, join the Red Wings SOON Mike.
It would be weird to see Modano in a Wings uni...but anything that Ken Holland thinks will help our team is absolutely fine by me.
