Has anyone here been to Outback since the bowl announcement?

I have a tradition of doing things that involve the bowl that we're in's namesake.

Two years ago it was Buffalo Wild Wings for the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Eve, and this year I made reservations at Outback.

I saw a decent amount of Michigan fans there. Anyone been inspired to go?

But since I work on Tuesday, I would have to fly out Monday evening and that jacked up the airfare prices for me and the wife. It would have cost $850.00 tor round trip tickets from MCI to TBW leaving Saturday evening and returning Monday Evening.  Hotels were all 150-300 per night for 2 nights and game tickets $100.00 a piece. Your talking $1500.00. So, decided to save that money for when we are in the playoffs.

If I remember correctly, bdubs had fight night on during their bowl game and we had to go to a friend's house last minute to watch the game. Was extremely frustrating.

There are some really practical bowl sponsors. It’s too bad we didn’t go to the quick-lane bowl, or you could have gotten your oil changed. Or we could have gone to the SD credit union bowl and you could have opened a new bank account to celebrate the bowl game. Several loan companies you could have taken advantage of too. There’s also an oversized clothing store DXL you could have gone to. Instead we had to go to the Outback bowl and all you got was some bloomin onions.

still squeeze in and sit down at the table to take your order?  It's been years since I've been to an Outback, but that's the thing that I remember about the place.

Wow, your dating life has moved on quickly.  Taking her to the Outback already instead of somewhere nice.

The flame just dies too damn soon.

Outback is on the list of restaurants I basically can't eat very many things at anyway because of my issues with certain additives (most of which presnt themselves gastrointestinally), so I can honestly say I haven't been to an Outback since the announcement, or indeed in years.

Just so I understand the tradition, if we made it to the Rose Bowl would you have skipped the meal and made an appt with a Financial Advisor instead? Or would you just have invited he or she to be a part of your party of 6 or more at Outback (reservation), because let’s be honest, you were going there regardless.
